Get ready for the electrifying biography of Nikola Tesla--part creative genius, part mad scientist, and 100% innovator. When Nikola Tesla arrived in the United States in 1884, he didn't have much money, but he did have a letter of introduction to renowned inventor Thomas Edison. The working relationship between the two men was short lived, though, and the two scientist-inventors became harsh competitors. One of the most influential scientists of all time, Nikola Tesla is celebrated for his experiments in electricity, X-rays, remote controls, and wireless communications. His invention of the Tesla coil was instrumental in the development of radio technology. Excellent
All the "Who Was?" books are great but I love how they authors find truly interesting things about people and weave it into a biography. I've read all the ones we own, before my kids do, and have learned so much about people I thought I already understood. The ending (spoiler alert) about this super-genius man feeding pigeons, essentially forgotten by so many, just really broke my heart. I had no idea.

Fantastic Book!
My 4th grader needed a book on Nikola Tesla for a class project. I really liked that this book was a good biography and it added information on other topics as they came up. For example, it had a 2 page snapshot on who Mark Twain was.

The Genius You don't hear much about...
I really enjoyed this little book. The print was easy to read, and the wording was not difficult to decipher. This is a great book, and would be a great gift and primer for young children and adults.

Great Book!
Great book! My 2nd grader is doing a project on Tesla, and he really enjoyed this book. He went to bed willingly each night, because he was so excited about his evening reading time. He finished reading it in three nights. I highly recommend this book; even though it’s geared for a younger audience, it would be great for younger or older kids...I even read and enjoyed it!

Sehr kurze Geschichte
