I got it put together and it won’t wind up, just keeps spinning and i can’t get it to wind i guess, anyone else have this problem? how do i fix it?

Does the spring tighten up? Sounds as like your issue is the spring is not tightening. I had an issue where the parts wouldn't move and it was due to not adding the wax to the parts as instructed.
