Easy to use entry level pro quality saw
Realizing that a good quality tile saw was going to be required for the extensive tile work that my wife and I are doing in our home remodeling projects, I did extensive research. After about two weeks of reading reviews and spec sheets, I finally settled on this saw. While I believe the professionals would consider this strictly an entry level saw, for the home owner or remodeler planning complex or extensive tile work I doubt you can do any better. Set up was very quick out of the carton with only the occasional interesting language "glitches" in the technical manual. All the parts aligned well and fit together easily. The pump system gives you the option of drawing fresh water from a bucket or recycling water in the catch tray. Save yourself a lot of grief and use a bucket. The catch tray is large enough to allow lots of cuts before it has to be emptied and recycling the catch water through the pump will wear out your pump much quicker. I used a much lower quality tile saw several years ago and was surprised at how much faster this machine goes through a 12" tile. Repeat cuts are quick to set up and accurate. I am a custom furniture maker by trade so I have designed jigs for the various "trick" cuts we are making. If you are not proficient at designing and making specialized jigs or don't plan a lot of of angle cuts I would strongly suggest buying the accessory cutting kit along with this saw. I buy a lot of tools over the course of a year. It is always gratifying to find one that does exactly what it is intended to do easily and consistently. I have been very pleased with the performance of this saw and would not hesitate to recommend it to any home owner, handyman, or remodeler who does not do tile work full-time but needs a strong, versitile, reliable saw.

MK-100 an excellent work saw
I initially purchased a MK 370EXP tile saw and it was direct drive(not belt drive) and more than a little loud and rough. The MK-100 is much smoother (belt drive) and a lot more forgiving on the operator, especially if you have to cut with the saw for a length of time. On the new(mk-100) saw I put the water pump in a 5-gallon bucket of clean water instead of the plastic pan. When you get through cutting, pull the plug on the pan and let the water drain into the bucket so it can be dumped. The MK-100 is a touch heavy to carry but is much more stable and a lot smoother. The table slide still has to be lubed occasionally to keep it sliding satisfactorily. Overall an excellent and lasting tool.

MK-100 TILE SAW (MK DIAMOND PRODUCTS)
The saw itself gets five stars. The only problem is hangup of the slider which can be relieved with a shot of lubricant from time to time. However, the base is CHEAP and wobbles during operation. I intend to reinforce the base with plywood or metal braces, but of course this should not be my job. W. Andrew Baldwin MD Farmerville Louisiana

What a great saw!!
I am pretty much a novice at tile laying but experienced in other areas of construction. When my brother and I built a new duplex we decided to lay ceramic tile in about one half of each unit. We bought this saw and did it ourselves... we paid for the cost of this saw with that first job. Since then I have tiled several baths, kitchen counters and fireplaces.. this saw has performed wonderfully... clean, square cuts.. easy to set up and adjust.. The only downside is the water pump is a bit on the cheap side and the hose to the pump will detach easily.. Overall, a great tool, well worth the cost.. JH

great tile saw for a great value
I happened to buy this saw during the sale that gave the tile stand for free ($89 value), as well as getting the $110 off sale price. With the free shipping I got a screaming deal. I am a weekender home repair guy so this was perfect. The MK101 is what I usually rent from Home Depot, so this is a little step down from that. Very easy setup. The tray does not run as smoothly as the MK101. Difficult to grease the bearings as it is so wet, of course. Everything else is pretty much the same. 5 stars for value. And 4 and a half stars for performance.

Perfect - SEriously!
This is really a great tile saw. Easy to use, extremely well built, powerful enough for everything we wanted to use it for including granite, bath tiles, ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, travertine and more. Made quite work of it all plus clean-up is easy. Durable, heavy little bugger but works like a charm.

Great work tool
The tool does a lot of work steady will cut the larger tiles. Not as noisy as some of the smaller machines. Needs some space to use and is a little heavy for one guy to move around well.
