Good Buy
I bought a pair of Jaybird in-ear BT headphones several months ago as a first time BT headphone experience. I wanted them because I do pottery and the attached headphone cables sometimes dangle down in the way when I'm on a potter's wheel. They don't stay in my ears that well and the reception with my iPhone in my back pocket sometimes is spotty (?!) The battery life also seems short...so that has been my only BT headphone experience until I got these over the ear style BT headphone. I read a bunch of reviews from Amazon customers for these and other like-style BT headphones.I chose these because, the price point of these seemed reasonable to try them out and most reviewers seemed satisfied with them. when they arrived, at first look I was worried about the non-adjustability of these because,as a female, my head is kinda small, but they fit OK. I pull my long air through the back of my baseball hat and rest the neck-part of these headphones over my hair and they fit pretty well. The over-ear design is comfortable enough, kind of like sunglasses, and the earphone padding is comfortable. They don't feel heavy on my head and seem to basically stay in place. I only have worn them while working in a pottery studio though, no running or bouncing around yet. I had no trouble pairing them to my iPhone and a Nano. The sound quality is decent enough for my needs. I haven't had a phone call on them yet, so I can't comment about that function. And amazingly, I've worn them twice for several hours and haven't had to recharge them yet. Seems like every time I wear the Jaybirds for the same amount of time, I have to recharge them. Update: Downside of BT headphones when paired with an iPod is that the radio doesn't function. I like to listen to the radio when doing my pottery some days. This I guess is an Apple design failure that requires plugged in headphones to serve as an antenna, I guess. Also my BTH240's got stolen out of my car center console recently, which was a bummer. Thankfully they aren't super expensive to replace. I'm reordering them in pink this time to discourage sticky-fingered dudes from klepting the new pain ;)

Kinivo BTH-240 - Surprisingly Satisified
The Kinivo BTH-240 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones work surprisingly well. I was looking for wireless over-the-head headphones which would enable me to listen to music and hear movies on my laptop or IPhone. I was tired of wires and its restrictions. In addition, I watch movies on my computer and tablet (Kindle). What I hoped for was good audio quality, easy set-up and comfort. I got all. For $30.00, let's remember these are not Bose or facsimile high end headphone, and I wasn't expecting the Kinivo to perform at the ultra awesome level. The Kinivo BTH-240's do however sound clean, clear and just as good as high end ear-bud's. These are comfortable to wear, however they are not over the head, rather, behind the head. The headset is shaped so that the earphones cover the ear and rests above the ears. The backbone of the headset rests behind your head on your neck. This was new to me, never had something like this set up however they were comfortable once I got used to it. What the Kinivo can do is pair with my smartphone (IPhone), listen to music, either stored or on Pandora. I can also answer calls while listening to music etc. They perform just like wired microphoned ear-buds, but without the wires. My phone pairs up nicely, as long as the headphones are turned on after, or while my phone was already on. Pairing with my Bluetooth enabled PC Ulatrabook was also easy. I'm operating Windows 8, and pairing was a snap. I can watch movies or listen to music coming from my computer. My PC with Windows 8, allows me to chose my default sound source, either computer speakers, or the Kinivo headset. Again, as long as you turn on the headset after the computer is already running, the PC automatically searched then pair nicely. If not, I opened my audio source and clicked on the Kinivo's and it paired. The headset has operating controls on the right headphone, on-off, volume, mode/multifunction button and next or repeat selection. Charging port had a rubber cover that's tethered to the headset. This headset can pair with five devices maximum, and can be reset back to factory setting if I goofed up. Nice. The one thing these Kinivo headphones cannot do is stay paired to more than one device simultaneously. Unless I'm doing something wrong, I can only pair with one active source at a time; either PC or smartphone. But for my needs, this is okay. They are not heavy duty or rugged, however I wasn't expect them to be. And again, for $30.00, they are just fine. I've jogged with these on and they stayed put. The Kinivo's came with adequate instructions. Clearly but briefly written. I didn't have any difficulties. The headset came nicely packaged and there was a USB charging cable provided. Charging by either car adapter, AC adapter for USB, or just plug them into any computer USB port and they'll charge. Battery life is okay, I get 5 hours but the volume for me is up. The louder you set the volume, the shorter the battery life. Battery life is advertised as is up to 10 hours talk/music time, and 200 hours in standby mode. I haven't gone this far to verify but I'm happy with what I got. I'm happy with this purchase, and if I needed to, I'd buy them again. Five stars.

Inexpensive Bluetooth Headphones
I wanted the headset to use while walking the dog, without any cables involved. As these are affordable, I purchased them to see how they work. Here are my impressions: Pros: 1. Product comes with instructions, charging cable and small bag to store or carry them around. 2. The headset has collapsible frame, so you can fold it and store in the included bag. 3. It was easy to do the pairing with the phone the first time - after that you do not need to pair again - it is automatic. 4. At the first attempt, they did not fit well on my ears. Then I tried to play little bit with the position of plastic frame behind my neck and around ears, so finally found the position where it feels OK. Cons: 1. One small plastic outside cover piece (half-circle shape) on the left side was loose in the bag when I open it. It has 3 tiny latches and one of them was broken, so it would not stay in place. So, the only way to fix is to actually glue the piece to the headset. Hopefully we will not need to service them. 2. They are not the most comfortable, but for walking the dog 20-30 minutes, they are OK. 3. The sound quality is OK but not great. I found out that listening high quality audio, for example 256K or 320K stream, does not have full range, lacking some bass and clear highs. On the other side, listening FM radio stations via TuneIn, the sound is really good (typically 32Kbit stream). If you want to spend some money for better sound and comfort, you can get Sennheiser MM100 or similar. But for this price, they are good buy if you need them for walking the dog or similar short activity. [Update Jul-25-2013] Customer service did contact me, so even if the product originally had small problem, they were willing to work to address it. Increasing my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars as they take of customers. The headset works just fine and is a good value for the current price.

Excellent Quality at a Great Price!
I bought these headphones to use with my iMac. I’ve been using them for about 3 weeks and have to say I’m very impressed with them and happy with my purchase. I find the sound quality to be excellent for both music and movies. It isn’t at all “tinny” sounding like I’ve experienced with other cheap sets. They are also very lightweight and comfortable. I do wear glasses and find these fit comfortably with them. For the best comfort I put on the headphones first and then the glasses. I haven’t fully tested their range but have moved about my house without any issues. The audio has been just as strong at the opposite end of the house as it has been sitting right in front of my Mac. I have paired these headphones with my Mac, iPhone and iPad. The pairing process is easy and very smooth. It is no problem at all to move among my devices with one set of headphones. I have not, however, used them for a conversation on the iPhone so I can’t say how well they do for that purpose. My only use has been listening to music or videos with them. Battery life has been outstanding. I’d estimate I’m getting about 10 hours of actual use time before charging. I like the fact that they fold easily for storage beside my computer and the mini usb charging cord stays plugged into a hub so I can easily plug them in for charging. When the charge gets low you do get an audible beep to let you know it’s time to charge. Once I hear that beep and plug them in for charging, it takes about 2 hours for a full charge. The only negative thing I can say about the headphones at this time has to do with the rubber piece covering the charging plug. It is attached to the ear piece on one end and is suppose to fit snuggly on the other end to cover the charging port. After a few charging sessions I find mine doesn’t fit as it’s suppose to any more without a great deal of effort. It’s not a big problem and I’ll probably remove mine completely at some point. I am very pleased with the quality of these headphones. I wasn’t expecting a whole lot for $25 so I am pleasantly surprised. These are a steal for the price.

Awesome Right Out of the Box; Great Replacement for In-Ear Buds
After trying a few different types of BT earbuds (and returning a few of them to Best Buy), I decided that, if I was going to cut the cord at the gym, maybe I should go back to how I did things before BT was a popular thing outside of one-ear, "looks like you're talking to yourself" headsets: behind the neck, on-ear headphones. The Kinivos' 240 model looked like what I wanted. They checked the aforementioned two boxes and the price point was not disagreeable. When they arrived, I was surprised at the size. The photos led me to believe the ear cups were big enough to go around my ear (like my Bose noise-canceling QCs), but they are smaller and sit on top of your ear. I doubt it's the fault of the advertising, but the misinterpretation was immediately forgotten when I fired them up. Directions for pairing are simple, the battery was fully charged (as made evident by the battery indicator in my iPhone's status bar) and right out of the box they sounded freaking awesome. I thought I would have to burn them in, but after I paired and started playing Mastodon and Last Ten Seconds of Life (American metal), I heard clear underlying bass, the highs of cymbals and everything else in between. I was so pumped, I went and ran a half-mile real quick. Here's where the one-less-star comes in: I had some connectivity issues while running. Music dropped a few times, each time just a half-second, but it had me nervous about its ability to maintain its connection my device. Currently, I'm lifting weights and, while my phone is no more than 3 feet away, I have not experienced a single blip or hiccup. The around-the-neck band is not burdensome at all as I'm doing flat-bench exercises and it didn't bounce when I was running. The headset is secure on my ears and, I am happy to say, is not hurting the INSIDE of my ears. The design is sound (ha ha), the battery life has so far been holding out much longer than the earbuds I have played with, and audio is surprisingly amazing. Audio controls on your device and on the headphones are also independent of each other, meaning if you max out your device's volume, you can still get louder by adjusting at the headset. I have not done a phone call with this, so I cannot attest to how well you'd sound on the other end and vice versa. All in all, if you want an affordable BT headset and don't care for sticking buds inside your ears, I'd endorse the heck out of this. UPDATE: NEVER MIND. These headphones have reached perma-death status after nearly 4 months of use, at a frequency of 3-4 times a week. Audio sounded good while they lasted, but then they couldn't hold a charge, then there was a continuous digital tone that I knew indicated a near-fatal fault, and then they shut off and couldn't turn back on again. The hunt continues...

Reasonably comfortable heaphones that does what it says, but is non-adjustable.
Note: This review is based on using it on relatively short terms (2-3 weeks) and doesn't reflect the product's ability to last long term. This is important because many phones/buds I have bought ended up having one ear loose it's ability to play audio, so that may happen in the future. Also, I can't rate the equivalent of 3.5 on Amazon because I do honestly think it's a good product that needs improvement. After getting annoyed by earbuds, I wanted a Bluetooth headset to listen to videos and audio, but weren't the in ear type most people used. I didn't want to go too cheap because I feared they would be like the many headphones or buds I bought that became bad after a few months use. I found these at a reasonable price. The BTH240 are "kinda pretty good". I fumbled a bit with the set up, not realizing i had to hold the Send button for ten seconds to let it discover Bluetooth devices (it only seemed to be off/on until I read the manual. Me being a typical guy). Once your headphones and device are connected, they're basically ready. It generally takes a few seconds for my HTC EVO 3D to recognize the headphones and relay the audio to it. The controls are very handy for play/pause and volume control. I think I only used the Back/Next buttons maybe once, but I believe they worked as expected if I remember correctly. However, the buttons do feel a bit cheap-ish and while I don't necessarily feel I will break them, a rougher individual might, and I can forsee the plastic speaker housings getting cracked against harder items in your backpack if you're not careful (of course, you can wear them around your neck, but this is cumbersome for me since I handle a handset phone for work). As for sound quality - it's fine for me. I have an absurd amount of music, though I'm not sure I can label myself as an audiophile - I can tell the difference between a high quality and low quality MP3, but not really with a High quality MP3 and a lossless format like FLAC or OGG. The volume to me can get loud enough, to reduce, though, not completely eliminate background noise - you'll probably hear a phone ringing, somebody knocking on your table or speaking loudly to you while having these on. Besides the slight cheap feeling, these headphones do everything I need except one major thing - adjust to my head size. I guess I have a bigger than average head according to Kinvio. While the plastic "Band" that holds the speakers to each other are relatively forgiving, allowing me to finagle the speakers on both of my ears, the second speaker that I adjust does eventually slip off a bit. It seems like some simple engineering to allow the band to be expanded some would have helped tremendously (though, I do wonder if that would conflict with the comfort of the band, as it is not uncomfortable at all, beyond the size of the set itself. I believe I've seen these headphones referenced in other headphone reviews and I agree that these are pretty good for the price. The lack of adjustment stops this of being worthy of 4/5 from me, and if it had that plus stronger feeling build quality, I think these could be 5 star worthy.

Great headphones for 99% of the population
We got a pair of these for our teen-age kids. They spend every waking moment connected to their *^&$@*#! iPods, except when they are connected to their computers, etc. Their old headphone wires were a pain to them, and getting caught in things like desk drawers and such, so I wanted them to go wireless. Really good headphones can cost $200 and up, not getting those for kids. Presumably, the more expensive ones, aside from having better ad campaigns and cachet, should have the best sound and durability. But since 95% of what kids listen to is from an MP3 player, which starts with relatively poor sound compared to real/classic stereo systems (purists view MP3 as a sad joke that is lowering everyone's standards), and since listening means casual or background listening, not serious, focused listening to music, most people absolutely do not have to spend $200 for headphones, just a waste of money assuming they actually do have better fidelity. Some other teens have questioned our kids, saying that only expensive Beats headphones (the BMW of headphones these days, and like BMW, are certainly excellent but overpriced status symbols for the Faithful) are good enough, but they really don't know what they're talking about, no worries. Ask them what Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) or steady-state RMS power or MP3 compression is, and usually that's the end of the conversation. (Duh...) These got very high user ratings for sound quality, fit, and durability, and the price is certainly attractive. They are an improved model of an earlier model (still available) that also got very high ratings. Our kids love them and use them a lot. If you have a "golden ear" AND play your music from a high-fidelity system (NOT MP3 players) AND listen in a focused way to enjoy music rather than it just being background, you may want to spend $200 for Beats, etc. Or, if you need status symbols and are willing to pay for them whether you need them or not. But for most people, these are excellent and at a great price. The head band going around the back of the head rather than over the top of the head, is aimed at mobile use (like jogging, with a cap on your head, etc.), seems strange at first but it works well and is fine. Overall, very satisfied, and I recommend these for most people. (And yes, I have more expensive headphones as part of my rather expensive, true-blue stereo sound system.)

Accidentally re-dials last number very easily; poor sound and difficult to turn on/off.
They’re cheap and they fold small, they come with a pouch, and they sort of work! A double-click triggers Siri. And people said they could hear me through the mic. Also, Amazon took them back (pre-paid UPS label) without penalty, in which case you only have your time to lose if you try them. However... - My pair sounded slightly louder on one side (maybe just defective rather than the norm). Not enough to be obvious during music, but I soon noticed it for phone calls and podcasts, and it really bugged me. One simples test is the typing-clicks on my phone: try the headphones upside down (to switch ears) and see if there’s a difference. (I made sure my phone’s Balance was centered, and even tried Mono mode.) - Slight whine whenever audio is silent (nothing horrible, but an annoyance between tracks). - The bars behind the ears are hard plastic, not cushioned and not springy enough. They start to hurt! (But this will vary from person to person.) - Cheap-feeling buttons (with printed labels that look like they’ll wear away, and needing a firm touch) and cheap-feeling charging door (but they do feel sturdy and well-made otherwise—especially for $25—and I liked the widely-spaced button layout). - The buttons have a very loud, sharp physical click when pressed. Almost loud enough to hurt my ear; definitely loud enough to bother me every time I’d pause, adjust volume or skip a track. - Poor, tinny sound, distinctly lacking in bass. (To be expected at this price, maybe.) - Music and voice (like podcasts) have very different volume levels for some reason. Too quiet for music—I have sensitive ears and never want truly high volume, but these could never go loud enough for even moderate room noise (say, doing dishes). But when listening to a podcast after music, it would suddenly be too loud; it’s annoying to have to keep adjusting. This sounds like a software issue (iPhone 6 Plus), except that I tried two other Bluetooth headsets: LG earbuds (poor fit for me) and Jabra Revo (expensive but nice!) as well as a set of Bluetooth speakers. None of those had this volume issue: music and podcasts sounded about the same, and had volume to spare. - Difficult to turn on and off: two constantly-used actions that require a VERY long press on a button stiff enough to accidentally release early if you jostle around. And you cannot just be lazy and let them go to sleep: they remain paired and active but silent; and so you won’t hear phone calls or alerts from your phone speaker if you don’t power the headphones down fully EVERY time you take them off. I must have done the long-press dance dozens of times in a day. - A slightly longer press than powering-on will re-enter pairing mode. Annoying because you have to figure out what wrong and go into your phone’s Settings. - The WORST problem is: a slightly SHORTER long-press than powering on/off will RE-DIAL the last phone number used! Releasing too early is very easy to do. Multiple times, I took my headphones off, powered them off (so I thought!) but in reality I was calling someone—and I didn’t even know it because the call was playing through the headphones I’d just set aside. Looking at the phone display later revealed what had happened. About the third time (in three days!) that I woke someone up by calling them at a bad hour, I knew these were unacceptable. You WILL make this mistake (if your device is a phone). It’s just a question of how often. Once a year, or once a day? And even if you master the timing needed, how many people did you annoy while you were honing your precision long-press skills? They get 2 stars instead of 1, because a different person with different ears might not feel the pain, or mind the low volume, or need to use them with a phone, or experience the off-balance sound. For certain people, these would be a good deal at $25.

that five stars if just for the amazing battery life i am sold
This is a gem of a product. The Audio quality is descent but i did not buy this for Audio quality. It has a remarkable battery life , i use it average 1~2 hrs or sometimes just for few minutes and i charged the battery after almost a month. I am not kidding here at all. that five stars if just for the amazing battery life i am sold :) :) PROS Insane Battery life Next best thing is its great as a gym headphones its a solid fit no matter what exercises you are performing. Call quality is good and the person at the other end could hear me clearly I can have it on my ears for long time and did not experience any fatigue BT connectivity is solid did not face any sort of disconnections at all [If i go out of range and come back in range it will auto-connect seamlessly] CONS Well descent audio quality but it does the job great i enjoy mobile gaming, some youtube videos and tv serials This is not a audiophile quality but rather fits my usecase perfectly :) Thanks for such an amazing product. Will share a long term review later for sure. PS : I also have a BOSE AE2W but i am using this daily this for its great battery life ;)

Ottimo prodotto

Just a good little headset!
I bought two sets of headphones at the same time, this one and a much more expensive set. I ended up sending the other ones back. The Kinivo are nice and light with acceptable sound quality. I've been very impressed with their range and the life of the battery. I usually try to cycle through full discharge/recharge a few times at first and these have been taking two or three days of heavy use to discharge. The sound is not unlike my comparably priced Skullcandy headphones. It's not amazing, but it's far better than many headphones I've owned, and within the price range it's impressive. The microphone is a nice feature and, it works acceptably as a headset for phone and Skype purposes. Although it won't be replacing my current, wired, gaming headset, it's extremely convenient for day-to-day phonecalls and sounds better than some other Bluetooth headphones I've tried. My only complaint is that there are no adjustable points on the headphones. The folding feature is very nice, but being over 6" tall I find my head is a little larger than the norm. I realise that wanting a slightly larger diameter headphone pad and an adjustable arc to fit my head might not be a consideration for most people. For me it's annoying, but not so much that they haven't become my go-to headphones for exercise, housework, etc... I wanted the around-the-back design so I accept that this may have it's own limitations. Overall, I'm very happy with these headphones. For the price they are excellent and well worth trying out.
