I love that this alarm us only heard by the person with the transmitter and not the patient. Sad that the battery is not replaceable in the pad.

Recently we ran into an issue where a senior was having mobility issues and was pretty well bedridden unless he had assistance to get up. The problem was that on many occasions he would decide that he could get out of bed on his own and this often resulted in falls that were often serious. We had tried using a camera monitor but the problem was it did not always alert us as to when he was getting out of bed on his own. This bed and chair alarm is the perfect solution to this type of issue. The bed and chair alarm system arrived well packaged and included the bed sensor pad with the transmitter, the chair sensor pad with the transmitter, the pager type receiver, all the batteries you need, and a user manual. There are also some anti-slip pads to put under the bed and chair sensor pads. The receiver can be set to sound an alarm or just vibrate when the sensors are triggered. The sensors are triggered as soon as the person gets up from the bed or the chair. This is so much better than alarms that sound in the room of the person and startle them. The sensor works every time and is very reliable. The alarms help anyone who is a caregiver for someone who has Alzheimer's or who is bedridden. It gives peace of mind and freedom from having to worry about the person falling or worse. I am very pleased with this and as a retired health care professional I can recognize this as well well-made medical device that does exactly what it is intended to do.
