The Lacoste company was founded in 1933 and takes its name from René Lacoste, the world renowned tennis player and sports enthusiast. René Lacoste did not like traditional shirts used for tennis and teamed up with Andre Gillier, the owner of France's largest knitwear company, to create the knitted cotton pique shirt that has revolutionized the sportswear market. Renowned for luxury and classic styling, Lacoste has an unrivaled heritage in the sports fashion market. The brand continues to appeal to the fashion-forward consumer and the footwear line is no exception. Modern designs and color ways combine with classic shapes to create a unique style that distinguishes Lacoste from other lifestyle brands. Review: Totally Classic!! - I returned this product due to the size ordered was a little big, and I did not have to wait too long to receive my replacement pair. Next day were at my door. I love this sneakers..I am buying more. thx Review: Good casual footwear - These shoes do their job for me. They are stylish and comfortable and I get a lot of compliments on them. The only downside of having a canvas material is when they get wet your foot gets soaked.

Great shoes!
Summer coming, I decided I needed another pair of shoes. So, I got these Lacostes, they fit great and are comfortable. Although they are canvas when it rains they do get wet. Overall, great shoes!
