Not sure why this gets such bad reviews for battery life issues. Its squarely that you don't have a wifi extender anywhere near you lock or you have a lot of interference between the module and the extender. Its easy to install and configure. Good product.

Horrible lock. I paid $269 for it just for it to be $100 less in a few months. For starters, my box came without the back up key and I did not realize it until I actually needed it. The lock stopped working around month 3, battery barely lasted and after replacing it, it stopped working altogether. Amazon could not help with sending replacement, YALE had me troubleshoot and try to calibrate it again for over an hour and still no luck.

Very solid construction, works flawlessly, a little expensive but you are getting your moneys worth. I have a smart home, everything is controlled by app/voice or motion and I also have the latest Wi-Fi 7 mesh router with all the lanes. When installing this I could not get the wi-fi to work for the life of me. 3 months and still no wi-fi but the lock itself worked beautifully, as long as you where home. I found out that my 5ghz band was running both 2.4 and 5 at the same time and would switch back and fourth to whatever product needed. THIS LOCK WILL NOT USE THE 5ghz bandwidth. If you have the newest mesh router system they usually have 3 ways to connect. 5ghz, 6ghz and 7ghz and the 5ghz band uses both 2.4 and 5. When connecting this lock to your system TURN OFF 5GHZ AND JUST RUN 2.4GHZ or the lock will not connect. once it's connected you can turn your 5ghz back on and the lock will work normally.

Great lock, awesome features, you wont go wrong with it, best decision ever and even better features than most door locks for a decent affortable great price, battery so far is great and economical, finger recognition is a bit of a pain sometimes but nothing to do with the product is more of a hand user issue and the installation of it is pretty straight thru, you got different options for installing the sensors and the door locker plus the wi fi module is a must and a plus definitely GREAT!

A door lock has one essential job: keep the door secure. This Yale lock randomly becomes unresponsive while leaving the door unlocked. Opening the app and attempting to connect appears to wake it up, but having to monitor and revive a door lock is completely unacceptable. I installed brand-new Duracell alkaline batteries, reinstalled the lock according to Yale’s instructions, reset it, and updated the firmware. The problem occurred both before and after the update. It previously worked properly, and there was no damage or installation change before this started. Yale’s support has been equally disappointing. I provided videos in my first email and explained the troubleshooting already completed. Their response asked for the videos again and repeated generic troubleshooting steps I had already addressed. This is a serious security failure. Based on my experience, I cannot trust this lock to secure my home, and I cannot recommend it.

I got three of the used, but still new locks and seriously cut the cost down by 2/3 and they work perfectly. I love the idea that I can control these remotely.

Impressed that it works under Midwestern freezing weather - that cleared my biggest concern as you don't find reviews or specs easily to confirm. It is easy to install on any standard door, has worked well for over a month of non-stop freezing and below temperatures. The only thing I wish it had is the ability to type randomized sequence with the pin. I have it installed in a dark area, so walking towards the pin pad you can't see any of the keys or fingerprint sensor. Hitting any key lights up the keys on the pad. But it is easy to press any wrong key on first try. Otherwise, it works fast and reliably. Have not tested the Bluetooth or remote control functionality. ****** Update: Over 14 months later Battery started to drain much faster after 9 months. Initially I thought it was due to the unforgiving cold weather, I even enabled the LED to indicate the lock status so I would hopefully notice the battery died. Had to recalibrate to get the autolock to work again - stopped without notice, but I thought it was because batteries drained. third or fourth time into replacing batteries, had noticed keypad was flashing a different code, but no red light. Replaced the batteries and after a long while without using the app, I get a lock jammed message. Working with email support, and instructions are not great. I say I can’t do a factory reset via app, yet they send a set of instructions to try what I explained doesn't work in the first place. Then reset the device using the button, with no instructions on how to locate or do it. Still working throught this, but I can already tell there were and are some Bluetooth issues - never cared but now I realize notifications on the app never seemed to work. After reset attempts, I eventually got the app to do the factory reset, but suddenly it seems to lose connectivity again. Autosense is randomly detected. I may have both Bluetooth and open lock sensory mechanism faulty, no installation issues or other door mechanical problem forcing the lock. Firmware update failed. It may boil down to having to spend lots of time on try and error reset attempts, but I'd hope more seniority, or at least accuracy, in the support offered. This trend of customer care being sorry for customer feelings is just wasteful use of my time and product costs, pretending to care via copy and paste template messages, when actual know-how to resolve issues is clearly lacking.

Nice lock. Works as described. Use it for a short term rental. Only issue is the magnetic sensor now shows that that door is open when it is not. Would probably buy again. Works well with the Yale app.
