Invaluable Aid
As a bereavement support worker I highly recommend this book as a tool for children to work through grief following the loss of a family member, friend or pet. Often a child cannot verbalise their feelings and this book is excellent in encouraging thoughts and feelings to be expressed and understood. Younger children would need help with the reading parts. I first got it for my 6 year old grandchild who has started to grieve for her beloved pet dog that died when she was 4.

Perfect for a child's grief
This really helped my 10yo daughter deal with the death of her cat, Taz. It is a workbook, so they can draw and explain in their own way. It is very clear that death is final but also explores the spiritual. My daughter has Aspergers (high functioning ASD) and her therapist keep said this is an excellent book and she'll use it herself.

Well conceived work book.
Great practical book. Very helpful to navigate the death of someone for your child... It even gave my six year old the language to support her father after the loss of his mum.

Simple and helpful
I have used this book as the backbone of bereavement work with several primary age children and have always found it works well, enabling children to work through various difficult feelings, normalising the grief process - offering ways of expressing feelings that are not always about talking.

when someone very special dies
I use this book frequently when working with bereaved children. It is an excellent resource and so very useful for helping the children understand about bereavement and the associated feelings/emotions. I'd recommend it to everyone.

Been a very useful tool for my 11 year old son
Been a very useful tool for my 11 year old son. He can use it when he wants to then put it away and control his feelings that way. A very good idea.

Book
This is an interesting book and I can recommend it to those working with young, grieving children. Helps to be able to let them understand what is happening in their lives, through expressing their feelings and drawing these out. Highly recommended. Excellent condition.
