Review: One of the greatest... - From the first notes of the appropriately titled opening track, "The End" to the closing lines of "Taion" this album was one of the best releases of 2006. "Nausea & Shudder", along with it's candid PV throws you in at the deep end of the Gazette spectrum. Then it's a rollercoaster ride with The GazettE boys as they do indeed manage to move seamlessly from the most melancholic ballads like "Bathroom" right into "Maggots", a gut wrenching assault of guitars which leave you wondering.. can they possibly top this? And yes, they do. "DLN" moves me to tears and the twin acoustics and the harmonies in "Baretta" (valetta) only prepare you for the might of "Cassis", the first single from this album, released in 2005. "Silly God Disco" will have you singing along and then before plunging you back into the intensity that is The GazettE with "Discharge" and the impeccable "Taion". I can recommend this album to anyone with a love of good music. Ruki's vocals are superb throughout, showing the full range of what he is more than capable of. Aoi and Uruha, along with some striking basslines from Reita - marvelous; Kai (current drummer) too, bringing it all together as the true variety of music which it is. Love it! 10 out of 10 and then some..

but Nausea and Shudder is a fantastic song, just each one of them is showcased ...
Young, aggressive GazettE here. If you buy this for Cassis alone it's worth it, but Nausea and Shudder is a fantastic song, just each one of them is showcased so nicely and that dual guitar solo is really nice. Brings to mind of course their tour and the final show and all of them crying onstage, such an emotional moment.
