In order to prolong the life of this 2 seater bench, we recommend bringing it inside for the winter or use of a 2 seater bench cover of a suitable size. Hardwood will require treating or you can choose to use an outdoor paint such as "shades", which then just needs an occasional wipe down.

The bench supplied, isn't the one shown.
Very disappointed, I chose this bench because the picture shows an exact copy of the one I have in my garden, that's what I thought I was getting. What I received, doesn't even look the same, very poor quality, the back slatted section, fits right down to the seat, there is no space, it's not angled, it's upright. There are screw holes in the seat base, but no screws supplied to fit it, but, you couldn't anyway, as the base is smaller than the side struts. Didn't realise it was different until I had screwed it all together.

do not buy
Terrible bench not very good wood, horrid to assemble as holes not drilled to match up right with wood pegs. Plus not stained very will very patchcy. Was going to send back but to much hassle as they want me to ug to post office andpay for delivery myself and then maybe id get postage back when refunded money for bench. Do not buy.

Poor value
Overall I was disappointed with the quality and finish of this product. Staining was very uneven, I have had to put a futher 2 coats plus varnish to be sure it's waterproof. The metal fixings were ok, but what are those silly dowels doing there, they don't even fit the pre-cut holes, would rather have more metal screws or bolts. This really is no better than others that are at least 25 to 30% cheaper. Sorry you won't be seeing me again.

Extremely poor quality item!
Very disappointed with this bench. The wood used is of poor quality and the drollrod holes are too big for the rods. To make them stable I had to use wood glue. I purchased this item about 6 months ago and I have only assembled it today (19th March 2018). If I had realised the item was of such poor quality I would have returned it. My advice - DON’T PURCHASE THIS ITEM!

Pile of rubbish
Really crap bench. The colour is uneven and yellowish, not like the picture. The finish is rough in places. Two screwed in supports for the seat that was already attached to the frame came off as soon as we sat down. Feels very wobbly. I wish I had bought the Bentleys which would probably have been a better colour and similar to other garden furniture I have.

Beautiful bench, easy to assemble, lovely finish and very comfotable.

It's ok for the money.
A bit flimsy but once assembled seems solid enough. Not sure it will take two people of 12st each though. Ok for occasional use.
