Does a great job marking wood. Still have the need for a pencil but this is a better alternative in so many cases.

Well made marking gauge
The gauge seems to be very well made. It feels heavy, which I like. It would be just perfect if the fence were a little larger or had only one flat area instead of two. I bought several under $30 gauges over the years, and this one is by far the best in this price range.
