Installed this new door opener and has worked flawlessly so far. Installation and setup was simple. I have been wanting to get this door opener for years but my diy lasted for years. Picked this one after alot of research and reading many reviews. I hope it last for years as well.

I have been using Chickenguard openers for over 10 years. I have owned several during that time. They typically give me 5 years of relatively trouble free life. My openers are exposed to rain, snow and sun constantly beating on them. They just keep on working. I see many reviews about how they are expensive. Break down the cost over time. 5 years, you are looking at roughly 7 cents a day. Let’s say it dies on the day your 3 year warranty expires…about 13 cents per day for peace of mind. There is no way I could keep birds with my work schedule and travels without a chickenguard. I have only ever had to contact Chickenguard about problems. That was for my first unit many years ago, which was a crude design compared to the current models. They were very responsive and helpful. Without asking they shipped me a new opener from across the pond. I haven’t had to contact them since. I have been a repeat customer ever since that first interaction. They are constantly improving their openers. I have saved a few for parts over the years, just in case I needed parts for the others. I will include some pics of the old versions alongside this Pro version.

Just replaced my older one after it recently started to act glitchy-I got exactly 5 years of perfect reliable door functioning! I’ve always used timer function and door opening and closing is great. Also, The auto door latch also has kept out multiple years of raccoon visits! Great product and makes chicken keeping very easy, this new one looks even better. Great value for years of use.

Changing the batteries is a pain! You have to take the whole unit off which in the winter should be fun...NOT. Now I need to change the current time and can't get that to pull up. I watched YouTube videos and can't find one that changes the time. Now after a couple of months I had to make adjustments and can't get the time to come up since changing the batteries. Very frustrating!!! **Update - Great customer service. I would give it 5 stars but I still don't like you have to remove the unit from the wall to change the batteries. **

Purchased 06JAN2025, absolute garbage. There is a short somewhere in it. They just keep making these cheaper and cheaper.

Love it,works great and really helps on rainy days,cold weather,I can look out my window and watch the hens go in and the door closes behind them,also I put a solar panel with it and it’s totally trouble free,game changer for sure!!!

Simple d'utilisation et d'installation. Une bonne protection pour votre poulailler et ses habitants contre les intrusions (Renard, rapace ...). Et le boîtier vous enlève la contrainte d'ouverture et fermeture quotidienne.
