Description

Germany, June 2017. Something is coming. It is spreading, slowly but steadily, fighting its way into the people's heads ready to infect everything and everyone: 2017 marks the release of 'Virus' - Pantaleon's debut album. This progressive metal band seeks to create movement in the genre, flawlessly combining the complexity and elegance of cinematic epic tracks with the raw power and catchiness of more mainstream songs. 4-minute neck breakers are as significant as 10-minute prog gems. Songs like the raging "Wake Up" or the brilliant "Slaves To Ourselves", sport impressive lyrics, all driven by the amazing musicianship of songwriter and bassist Sebastian Heuckmann. Behind the drumkit sits Kevin Kott, (currently Masterplan's live drummer), whose steeliness and finesse are unmistakable. Guitarist Xaver Schiffels adds on-point, acrobatic six-string flair and Patrick Sühl (Gun Barrel) adds vocals. The band chose to take care of their first full-length album's production themselves and relied on Armin Rave (Soundsight Studio) to take over the mixing and mastering of "Virus".

Okay
