I bought this ramp in October of 2023. It is now February 2024. The ramp was immediately put to use outdoors to bridge between a back porch and walkway for transport chair access. It works well for assisted use. When going down the ramp you should back the transport chair or wheelchair down the ramp. This easily accommodates 2 people and a transport chair (about 425 lbs total). When the ramp is put in place there will be a slight arch across the length of the surface. This will flex slightly when the ramp is used. This is working as designed. Bridge spans use this design for strength in handling loads. I have found the ramp to be very secure. The ramp has a good slip resistant pattern. I have used it when wet and in freezing temperatures. It has been left in place since I got it and is not showing any ill effects. When he has felt steady my dad has been able to walk the ramp with his cane (supervised). The ramp is 6' and we are using it to bridge a 16 inch rise. I would want a longer ramp if the rise was any greater.I am a 60 year old woman and had no problem unfolding and positioning the ramp multiple times (different locations). It is a handful but doable.

Good quality
Ramp flexes allot but returns to position. Needs rubber grip installed on bottom not just top. Good for the money.

Better to Have It & Not Need It…
😁 Since my initial review I have gotten a 3’ ramp and it is perfect at the 3” riser pictured here with the 4’ ramp. The 4’ ramp is at another 4” riser that allows the door to open. It’s living happily ever after too. Maybe there’s some calculus at work here but there ya goI love being able to move this from door to door. I doubt we will need it elsewhere but it’s fairly portable. Even I can lift it, not happily but I can, and I’m a proverbial little old lady 😆. The support structure doesn’t allow the bottom of the ramp to sit flat at the pictured 3” rise but it’s ok because the wheels don’t go over that area. Maybe we could grind it down but it probably won’t be necessary. The other door we like to use is about four inches up and the bottom of the ramp sits flush all the way across. Something I didn’t consider is that the other door opens out so I have to put the ramp up after it’s opened. Also that door is very tight to the threshold and the ramp would not be able to stay in place in any case, no clearance. This is a wonderful tool to have. It was such a struggle getting him in and out before. Now, it’s still hard, I am an old lady after all, but we have a strong young helper most days and it’s easy enough for her.

A gift of freedom
This was sent to my 90-yo mother who was housebound due to rapid onset limited mobility. It fit perfectly where she needed to 'escape' the house, and also provide an emergency exit for her that did not exist without injury if she had to get out of the house quickly. They live in California fire-country, so that is very important for evacuation!

Poor quality outdoor ramp
When I ordered this ramp, I intended it for indoor use for my spouse who is confined to a wheelchair and needs to be transported over a 6" floor lift. The ramp has the following problems:1. It had a deep scratch along the side.2. It was not clean of machining scrap. There were a few metal shavings on the ramp I had to clean off when unpacking it. Also, greasy fingerprints on it.3. The ramp is very noisy when walking or pushing the wheelchair across it. I weight 150#, my spouse weights about 150# and the wheelchair weights @ 40#.4. The ramp has a great amount of flex when we walk or drive down/up it. For a ramp rated at 600# capacity, I would worry if someone/something totaling 500# was on it.If I didn't need this ramp quickly, I would have returned it to pay a few $$ more for a better ramp.

If you need a Ramp, Look at This One.
This ramp has been my life saver! After ankle surgery I was unable to put weight on my foot. I was using a knee rider at home during recovery. I had to be able to get up one step to my porch, then one to get into the house. This ramp was for my step up to the porch and it worked perfectly. Of course I needed someone to put it in place for me, and you will too, of course! I was able to safely get up to my porch after the hospital and up and down for subsiquent doctor appointments. It totally eased my mind knowing that I could safely get in and out with the help of another adult who drove me to appointments.

Great ramp.
Easy to use, and put down and pick up.
