White Enamel Repair Touch-up Pen / Bathroom & Kitchen

Needs a few coats but does what it’s supposed to do. Ideal for scratches and chips on baths, radiators and other enamels.

I bought this in 2021 to repair a chip in our bath. I applied it straight away - put it in a 'safe place' and forgot about it. Over the years I keep meaning to re-apply it. The initial coat hid the black of the steel, making it a pearlescent grey. Today I dug out the old pen, gave it a good shake and dolloped the enamel onto the bath. As other reviewers say, it is VERY white - whiter than our bath. But compared to the ugly black and rust that was appearing I'l take that. Surprised how well the initial coat has held up since 2021 (five years). Let's see if the second coat allows it to look better. Dabbed it on a damaged part of the washing machine and fridge whilst I was at it. Came here to see what the drying time is - saves me unwrapping the instructions! It says it's silicone and to be used on plastic - that's not right on either count as far as I can tell. Just dabbed another coat on to hide the black a bit more.

Nice and easy but still a lot whiter than the ceramic of our bath, so visible repair...

When pricing replacements for the cooker knobs, as the numbers had worn away.... the cost was over £12 each. I needed 4. Instead I bought this pen and marked them up myself. Easy. Effective. A bargain.

I had a chip on the edge of my enamel bath. Quite large, about the size of a ten pence piece. The pen took ages to start working and the paint was like emulsion paint or Tippex. I put a thin layer on and left it to dry for a day. Second coat, could barely get any paint out of the pen and all it did was rub off the first coat! Avoid! I’m going to try the Cramer enamel chip repair kit now with the two stage filler and spray. It’s more expensive, but this pen is an absolute waste of money.

I had a small chip in my shower which too me, looked horrendously large. But this little tube did the trick and it has disappeared. So covering power is excellent and ao so cheap too. I cannot say about heat resistance, but it works really well in a shower.

Great idea. Brilliant white, so won't blend with slightly off-white porcelain. Quite runny with a thick nib, so tends to apply more than intended. Dries quickly. Worth trying at the price.

Werkt zoals het te verwachten is. De kleur is exact goed getroffen voor mijn gasstel en badkuip. Het spul droogt tamelijk snel en is naderhand sterk.
