Used to kill moss in paddock. Didn't use immediately and found that the powder was compacted, so transferred to a bucket to crush lumps so it could be distributed using a spreader. Moss turned black within a day or so.

Worked well to kill off thick moss, but dead material still needs removing. If you use too big a dosage your lawn will over blacken

Ord from Home and family. ord 14/3/2017 arrived 18/3/2017. This was a re-order. This product is great at 'greening' the grass and 'browning' the moss at a time of year when it's too early to use other such products. One dose sprayed on in Feb and one in Mar. I'll spray again in April and then switch to Scotts Lawn products. Oh yes whilst the lawn is fully shaded and so the grass is patchy what there is looks fine, no yellowing etc. So whilst the lawn will never sadly win any prizes it's nice to see what there is all nice and green. Happy bunny. Well update used throughout 2017 and didn't feel the need to use anything else to make the lawn look enviably green and lush. I've just (26/1/2018) used again to get an early start on suppressing the moss which in this continuous wet weather is everywhere at 600g per 12 litre sprayer. Great stuff and I'll be getting so more. Well another update lets see ord from same supplier in 2016/2017/2018 and 2020 works a treat on killing the moss which in March 2020 was covering 50% of the lawn following the first qtr rain in 2020. Looks like overseeding is needed. Grrrrr

Does a very good job of killing moss as well, and goes a long way. Not effective against weeds, so still need a lawn weedkiller, but still far, far more cost effective than those combined ones.

I love this stuff. DRAWBACKS- It will stain your slabs, paving or any other decorative features you have in the area you are going to use it. BUT IT DOES WHAT IT CLAIMS TO DO. I have tried for years to remove the moss from my lawns, even a commercial grade weedkiller, digging and reseeding. But nothing worked, until i found this. I am replanting my lawn again this year- 3rd time in 5 years. but this stuff will be going down before i seed the area. 1 tub will be used before I seed, and the other once the seed is growing nicely.

Seem a cost efficient way of killing moss in large lawns compared with pellets and smaller containers of ferrous sulphate. Dissolves quickly and effectively greens grass while turning moss black within a few hours at the higher dose.

I've been using this product for years now. I have always used hot water to dissolve it but it has never thoroughly dissolve into just liquid so I always passed it through a muslin cloth into my knapsack sprayer to catch the particles that hadn't dissolved. I have just opened a new 10kg tub of it and straight away noticed it was a different colour to what I had always had before. I tried and tried to dissolve it but couldn't and was left with a mess of powder and particles. I tried to salvage some of it and after many attempts to pass it through the muslin cloth I gave up. If I had tried to use this in my sprayer it would have completely blocked up all the filters and nozzle. I am now left with a useless, very expensive, not fit for use tub of rubbish.

Bought to defeat an invasion of moss. It did help a bit but seemed to inhibit the growth of grass in the surrounding area although applied strictly according to the instructions. However we had a dry summer which probably had some adverse effect on the grass - and hopefully future moss. Delivery timing was excellent.
