Great series by a great educator and great thinker. Well-edited, with introductions and commentary by Susan Sarandon that are appropriate and helpful. Yes, Susan Sarandon. This actually provides a good course in comparative religions, as well as a broad look at myths in multiple cultures over multiple millennia

Well mastered. Susan Sarandon's hosting for the first two cd collections is excellent. She is equally good in Mythos III, despite some glitches which are evidently aged, but do not detract. Joseph Campbell is a fascinating lecturer, and if you haven't heard or seen these lectures, I highly recommend them.

Joseph Campbell was one of the world's most profound thinkers and philosophers. His ability to make life's most baffling questions clear and focused is unsurpassed. Mythos is not light entertainment but it is very satisfying if you are looking for the meaning of life. Who am I? Where am I going? How much time do I have? Campbell answers these questions by not answering them but rather giving comparisons and mythic examples. He was a quiet genius and the world is better for having him in it.

Enjoying thoroughly - these are deeper teachings than the Bill Moyers interviews he did. I watch it with a dear friend and sometimes we have to pause and discuss and digest these ideas - there’s so much there. It always brings us into rich meaningful discussions. Joseph Campbell is a great (likely unparalleled) guide to our world’s most transcendent wisdom for understanding and navigating life at its deepest most meaningful level.
