Very solid. It's a bit expensive but i use it a lot so pretty happy with it being of high quality. I wish I bought this one to begin with.

You know what you're getting with Rosle products. I shouldn't get excited about receiving a sieve in the post but I did! It exudes quality and will outlast me. Worth every penny.

I've used this strainer only a few times so far but it appears to be very solidly built. In my decision making to buy this strainer, here are some of the design features I liked: + All stainless steel construction - no wood, which can deteriorate, or plastic, which can melt. + The handle and hook are attached with fillet welds to the basket rim, rather than electrical resistance welded as it common on other models. Fillet welding is a more reliable welding method since the welds are visible and can be easily inspected for defects with the naked eye. Whereas electrical resistance welds are hidden and can't be inspected with the naked eye. + It has a single mesh layer. Some brands use a double mesh layer which is harder to clean since stuff gets stuck between the two layers. + It's from a major brand which has a line of various cooking tools, which suggests the company is focussed on producing cooking tools and there is a history of design experience behind this model. + Although the manufacturing is done in China, the brand is based in Germany, so hopefully some German standards of quality and design are being applied. (Although German quality is no longer what it once was, it's still pretty good.) Also, note that most of the negative reviews are about the price and the fact that it is made in China. Not many complaints about the build quality.

This strainer is simply outstanding! It’s on the heavier side and the quality is top notch! Will buying more of Rosle other strainers! Delivery as always from Amazon simply perfect.
