Bloom into You Vol. 3 (Bloom into You (Manga)) [Nio, Nakatani] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Bloom into You Vol. 3 (Bloom into You (Manga)) Review: Mature, refreshing, honest love story. Best manga I've read. - Incredible! If you want to read a sincere, insightful, and moving story about love, without all the yuri-baiting, tawdriness, or clichés that plague the medium, THIS IS IT! Bloom Into You is different from the start. Of course it's cute and mushy, but more importantly BIY is a deep and meaningful story ABOUT love itself, different ways of falling in love, love amongst family, loving oneself. The title is a double meaning, I think, where the primary characters are not only blooming into their love for one another, but also blooming into themselves. Don't let the high school setting deter you. This could easily have been a more adult setting (and frankly should've been). It's mature and contemplative. It also gives us interesting juxtapositions, for instance with an older gay couple who have already overcome some of these things, or how other relationships came to be or even shouldn't be, because romcom and shounen love are NOT the real thing. Real life is messier, but all the more satisfying because of it. That's what I love about this story. Its honesty and earnestness. It's become one of my favourite love stories of all time, and I think anyone, man or woman, young or old, can enjoy it. Also, it's artistically clever with its framing of scenes. I can't recommend this story highly enough! Review: The students aren't the only ones in love! - Test scores and the school field day are major themes in this volume, and we get to see a competitive side of Touko! The girls' relationship progresses further in volume 3 of Bloom Into You. By the end of things, Yuu finally seems to be realizing her feelings for Touko, but she has yet to confess them. Her older sister, however, is beginning to suspect the girls may be more than just friends. My favorite thing in this volume is the introduction of a cafe manager, who turns out to be the girlfriend of one of the teachers from school! Their relationship is really cute, and the cafe manager becomes something of an OWL (slang for "older, wiser lesbian") mentor to Sayaka, whose jealousy in this volume first burns bright and then cools down as she gets to know Yuu a little better. This series has great pacing and characterization. The art is beautiful, with backgrounds as meticulously detailed as the people in the panels. I did see a typo in this volume but overall the writing/translating seems to be great! This is a series I will enjoy rereading.

Will I ever fall in love?
As plans for the play begin, there are many other things on the minds of Touko and Yuu. With helping write out the play, they need to ask for help from their teacher who give them some advice. When the council stops at a local coffee shop, a chance meeting makes Sayaka wonder if she can truly express her feelings to Touko. But first is sports day, and the chance for a reward for Touko - a kiss from Yuu. But can Yuu pull it off without crossing a line that she has placed on her feelings? This story builds on the tension between three individuals, one who wants to love, one who wonders if she can fall in love, and the one who wonders if she can love. Seeing some of the other cast members brings more life to the story, especially when one relationship is discovered. This is building up and you cannot wait to see what is in store in the next book - shame we have to wait until the day before Valentine's day to see if something breaks.

El dibujo es precioso, tanto en personajes como fondos. Incluso cuando no están los personajes principales y la trama no está nada mal.

The series continue to be a great Yuri read with plenty of fun and cute moments between Yuu and Touko, well loosing none of the depth its built up. We learn more about Sayaka's past and get two new characters in another slightly older lesbian couple who can perhaps help them in the future.
