Wow Mani with Garlic Peanuts Pack of Two 19.40 Oz a Pack

A friend of mine sent these to me from his local Pinoy grocery store as we were talking about snacks and how we're trying to snack healthy but also feed the cravings that hit when you're trapped at home with little to do (COVID-19). He sent me these, and I'm half Filipino, so I lost my mind when I got these -- they are delicious. So then I went hunting on Amazon and lo and behold, here they are. And now they are in my pantry again, they go quickly! If you're health conscious they serve twofold: they are not as salty and greasy as traditional Filipino garlic peanuts, which can literally leave a film on your fingers, be covered in salt, and while delicious, are even more caloric (and nuts are already caloric for small amounts). The other bonus is they are a great snack to stem the tide of snacking on carbs/fried things, and a small amount is really satisfying. The crisply garlic slices/chips mixed in are larger than most, too, and super yummy.

The theory was that I’d use them to add crunch and flavor to rice and pasta and salads. The reality is that they’re so delicious that I couldn’t stop eating them just by themselves. I have eaten a whole jar in just a few days. I’m going to have to hide the other one so it escapes that fate, plus I really think that they’ll be a great flavor and textural addition. I’d say there’s a strong likelihood that these will be a staple on my shopping list. **** Update from a couple of days later: I’ve eaten most of the second jar. I’m not proud but I’m not ashamed. Yes, they’re that good.

I was SO excited to find a source for one of my favorites - Filipino garlic peanuts! Sadly, of the two canisters I purchased, one was just stale (chewy, hard nuts and stale taste) and one was stale/old to the point of rancid! Both were inedible. The packaging is inadequate for freshness - the thin foil seal on the canister is paper thin and doesn't seal well at all, and the container and lid are made of very cheap plastic - obviously neither the seal nor the container is air tight. Don't waste your money!

Tastes great but for MSG being one of the ingredients. Eat in moderation because of this ingredient.

Love this stuff, and love that I can purchase it on Amazon. Used to buy it in a local Asian store but between travel and possible unavailability this makes it more accessible

If you like garlic you will love these peanuts! Fresh and very good! Nice change from regular peanuts! My husband and I both love them!

I was introduced to these not that long ago and I was excited to find them available on Amazon as I was told you can only get them in the Philippines. It's a little pricey but the peanuts are delicious! I love garlic and these peanuts have just that.

These tasted stale even though it wasn’t expired yet. I first tried these from buying from an Asian supermarket and it tasted great. The ones from amazon tasted a bit off. Tasted like the oil they used was not fresh. And the peanuts are not as crunchy.
