Needed to crimp some 4 gauge lugs and my HF crimper didn’t have dies that size. Unfortunately I had to spring for a new crimper. Happy with this one so far. Did a superb job, actually better than the HF tool. And being 16 ton vs 8 was easier to crimp. Very happy with the purchase.

Some of the reviews had me a little cautious about the purchase, but I crimped about 50 aluminum ferrules on braided stainless steel cable the day I received it and it performed flawlessly. Highly recommend this item!

super easy to use when crimping Anderson lugs for the connector and the battery terminals as well took me 10 seconds or less to crimp the connector on super fast my old crimper i had trouble the thing kept swaying this crimper keeps it steady one try done

Works well, has plenty of power and makes a nice compact crimp. For reference the cables at the bottom of the bus bar in the photo are 4/0 cables that were terminated with this crimper. The kit has many sizes of dies and they are easy to change. The dies slide in from the end and are held in place with a bolt that has a knurled nut on each end. It would be easy to misplace the nut while swapping the dies, but I haven’t dropped it yet. The 4/0 cable lugs I used were beefy and would not slide through the opening with the bolt on place. Not a problem, just a matter of inserting the lug as you place the die. This also means the lug will it fall out while crimping.
