Slides into channels on back of riser The riser has ridges on back side. You uncouple one side of flapper from bar.Slide the bar between two (2) ridges on the riser. You'll see it locks inside the ridges when sliding.Reconnect the flapper side to the bar Ready to go

Can I use the existing pivot bar instead of goiing through the replacememnt thing?

It takes 15 seconds to slide a new bar in. Why wouldn't you replace the bar? Just make sure you put it in the same slot.

This is tricky. You have to look in the tank. There are two different flappers. If your toilet has the bar on the back, this is it. If it attaches by hooking onto the sides then this is not the one. Just remember, if you get this one you have to remove the bar from the flapper and slide it on to the piece that it attaches to. It does not snap on...slide it on.

Does it fit one piece k3386? Mine has a stick in the back.
