Product is very easy to use. Does a great job converting my slide and photo negatives to digital format. Touch-up and enhance program gave me just what I needed to clean up and enhance some of the scans, Company was great to work with!!

Contrary to a few other reviewers, I found this product to perform exceptionally well on slides (have not tried negatives) - far better than I expected after reading the other reviews. The output pix files needed some enhancement (with any of a variety of free or purchased photo programs), but that was not a problem at all - the results were superb. I converted some VERY old, faded slides and got absolutely fantastic results. The tray loading system is a little awkward. but it is not a show-stopper. The driver installed and works perfectly on my Vista SP1 and works well as a TWAIN input source for photo programs. If you have any questions on this product, make a comment, and I will try to answer the email that the comment should generate.

I bought the VuPoint to scan slides and negatives. Loading the software (which says it works with vista) went fine but the software would not work properly (the scanner camera never showed a preview to allow scanning). Once I loaded the software on another computer with XP, it worked fine. It is a little fickle to get the slides centered but overall considering the cheap cost, it worked fine. The picture quality was quite good for the slides from the 1970s... Overall not bad but remember, you get what you pay for.

The item is great --> see issue!! It is only possible to use on computers with XP, since there is no software to upgrade to. What happens when the old XP fails??? So will the VuPoint. Company needs to put out new software for Vista or Win 7 or 8, which would make it untouchable!
