We used this for our sand pouring during our wedding. Everyone loved the idea, and how different it was, and how it is a great decoration piece for us to keep around for years to come. Only thing that could have been better was if it came with it's own funnel. The opening for the hour glass is small, so finding a funnel that fit was a bit of a challenge at first (but we did find one on Amazon that worked).

The timer is beautiful and its timing is accurate.

This device is listed as a 3 minute timer. The problem: the sand runs out after 1 minute and 37 seconds! (I tested this with a digital time four times.) It's beautiful, but not reliable. DO NOT BUY. (I returned this device.)

We used this hourglass for our unity sand ceremony at our wedding and it was perfect. Our thinking was that just as the two colours of our sand (black & white) start off separate, this every turn of the glass they become more & more intertwined just as we do over time. We were able to engrave the glass. The only thing I wish is that the hourglass came with its own filling funnel. Other than it’s quite big & sturdy, and easy enough to assemble and disassemble - although if you use it on your wedding I suggest saving the reassembly after pouring in the sand for after the ceremony or getting someone else to do it as it’s a bit tricky to do in front of a crowd. 9/10 would recommend (would have been 10 if it came with its on funnel).

The sand clogs and it "stops", when there's still plenty time left on the clock. This invalidates the entire point of the product. I've tried contacting the seller, but it doesn't seem possible to do so.

Perfect prop for my next film. All good.
