Amazingly good
Maybe the best budget nodal for the panoramic photography. It seems the quality is good, 100% arca swiss compatible. Overall experience, very satisfied.

This is a remarkably useful piece of equipment if you use an Arca Swiss style quick release on your camera. It also offers the option of connecting directly to the tripod socket on a camera body. I use one for panoramas and another with a copy stand to make quick adjustments (with a ball head). The quality is good. The clamp is a little stiff, but secure. Surprisingly, this 200 mm version is less expensive than the shorter versions. I was worried that the 200mm length might cause some issue with vignetting, but it hasn't been a problem so far. Highly recommended as a good quality reasonably priced nodal rail slide.

Solid piece of kit that is easy to use and does the job well. Don't know what the screw is for that fits in the middle of the slot; I don't recall there being anything by way of instructions in the pack. In any case it's easy to take it out by just unscrewing. It was well packaged in a cardboard box and the item itself in bubble wrap. You do need to do some reading to find out how to use one of these, but the internet is full of info to tell you how to set it up and set the no parallax point. I suspect if you're thinking of buying one you already know what to do with it. The slider has a handy 360 deg spirit level, which is very useful when setting up to make sure your pano sweep is horizontal. For technical reference, I shoot with a Nikon D700 and the Nikon 24-70 f/2.8 and the no parallax point is right at the limit with this piece of kit when shooting at 24mm; the slider is as far back as it can go and a little bit more so that not quite all of it is gripped in the tripod mount (you lose about 10-15mm but it's still fine). If you're using a lens of similar length you may choose to plump for a 250mm slider if there is such a thing just to make life easier. As you increase the focal length you can bring the slider forward on the tripod (at 35mm it comes forward 20mm), so 24mm is worst case and you wouldn't often want to be shooting panos at such a wide angle anyway to avoid distortion and because the whole point of shooting a pano is to negate the need for a wide angle lens! - so in reality 200mm length is perfectly ok. But as I say, it does the job and does it well. To test it I shot a pano at a local pond using the camera in portrait mode and with a small. upturned rowboat in the foreground just 2-3 metres in front of the camera and shooting at 24mm. The photo stitching software I use (Panorama Studio 2; I recommend it) had no trouble at all making a totally seamless image.
