Are the bottom (underside) of the bowls sanded flat?  Are the spoons bare acacia or lacquered?

Hi Ma'am, if you need one to stay extra steady choose our natural finish coconut bowls as they are shaved and sanded to sit more flat. The polished bowls are more rounded due to the polishing, but they still remain quite steady.  For the spoons we use the same natural, virgin coconut oil lacquer/polish as the bowls. Thank you!

Follow these basic care instructions to ensure a long lasting coconut bowl.

Hand wash with lukewarm soapy water. Do not use in the dishwasher or soak for a long period of time.

Coconut Bowls are best suited to room temperature and cool foods. For warmer foods to ensure durability, prepare your bowl for the change in temperature by first rinsing your bowl in lukewarm water and sit aside until dry.

HOT FOODS ON RARE OCCASIONS CAN CAUSE THE BOWLS TO CRACK.

Do not exposure your coconut bowls to extreme heat, and do not use in the refrigerator, microwave, oven or dishwasher.

Polish with virgin coconut oil (or an oil of your choice) every 10 or so uses to restore your coconut bowls smooth and shiny surface, while resealing it's pores.

Can you put hot soup dish in it?

Coconut bowls are not ideal for storing and heating up liquids such as hot soup as it can damage the bowl or cause it to crack. It's best to use them for room temperature and cold foods. Also, do not place them in the microwave or dishwasher.

What is the diameter and height of those coconut bowls, please?

Each bowl varies, but I would say 2.5-3 inches deep and about 6 inches in diameter. Hope that helps.
