Oven Cleaner - 500ml Complete Oven Cleaning Kit with Safety Gloves & Cleaning Bag - Cleans First Time - Oven Cleaner Heavy Duty - Degreases Oven Without Scrubbing

Backstory is that my 16 yo teen has, for the past few months, actually been using the oven to make himself food. Typical teen food - anything greasy/fatty which I won’t cook. Anyway, needless to say he never cleans the oven after use - or ever! Mum’s been doing that weekly and has tried literally everything but it just never gets clean. I was really struggling as this oven is only a year old and my previous oven, which I’d had for 20 years, never ever got this greasy/dirty in those entire 20 years. The grease/fat smell had started to stink out the entire kitchen and I’d got to the point that I was thinking I was going to have to buy a replacement oven (yeah- it was seriously that bad). Then I stumbled upon this. And just wow. I don’t know how anyone can give this anything other than 5 stars. I followed instructions and left 2 two trays in one bag and the entire grill tray in the other bag overnight (I’d purchased 2 bottles). Any leftover liquid was poured into the bottom of the oven and on the inside of the glass door which had discoloured through burned on grease. Next day I braced myself for what I thought was going to be a massive cleanup job. Couldn’t have been further from the truth. I soaked up the liquid from the bottom of the oven and the glass door with kitchen roll, then gave it a wash with just warm water. The 2 oven trays and grill tray were simply removed from the bags and rinsed in the sink. I would say 95% of everything cleaned looks brand new and I really mean brand new. (And the other 5% is just where the liquid didn’t actually get to as either I missed a bit or perhaps I didn’t swish the liquid around enough in the bags. There was absolutely no scrubbing needed. I’m genuinely stunned and didn’t know products like this even existed. I’ve just order 2 more bottles - 1 for the sides of my oven as I completely missed those areas - and the other bottle I’m going to keep for general cleaning of the trays/oven. I saw that it had started to work as soon I poured in into the oven/bags, so I figure that if I ditch my other products I can use this instead for general weekly cleaning to better keep on top of it, rather than having to go to the extent of this deep clean every time. I found the smell of the product to be almost be non existent- especially in comparison to any other products I use (I’m a clean freak). Kitchen and oven also no longer smells of grease - but doesn’t smell of any product either. I used my own rubber gloves than the ones provided. I would definitely advise using gloves as this product is so effective that I wouldn’t want to risk getting it on my skin. In summary, I’m now a huge fan of this product and in comparison to other oven cleaners…well there just is no comparison. This for me ranks leaps and bounds above everything else.

I don’t generally leave reviews but this product deserves it! Works fantastically well. We left the oven racks in the bags overnight and covered the inside of the oven in the fluid and left that for just a couple of hours. Washed it off with soap and water and all came up great. Bonus is that it doesn’t give off strong fumes like many other cleaners do so it’s easy to use. As a tip, keep a bit of the fluid back for any stubborn areas that need some extra attention!

This product does the job and is very good value compared to having an oven professionally cleaned. However, it's not magic and a fair amount of elbow grease is still required even when leaving the cleaning fluid on overnight. The kit includes a bottle of cleaning fluid, gloves and a large, robust, sealable plastic bag for cleaning the racks and grills - 50-75% of the fluid is used in the bag and the remainder on the oven itself. The instructions advise leaving the fluid in place for at least 4 hours and, preferably, overnight. It does loosen the burnt on food and stains, which can then be removed with a sponge and some effort. A lot of water and sponging is required to ensure the stains and cleaning fluid are removed. The fluid is not effective on deep deposits and a good tip is to reduce these first with an oven scraper. The process is pretty messy (you're going to need to thrown away sponges/cloths used) but I was pleased with the end result! As advertised, the cleaning fluid has no fumes but it is pretty nasty and care needs to be taken. From experience, it burns the skin (wash off with lots of water) and it stains/bleaches clothing. That leads me to my one major criticism - the gloves... The product is sold as a "complete kit with safety gloves". Once opened, the instructions inform you that the plastic hand gloves supplied are a "courtesy" and it is recommended to use long gloves that cover the lower arms. I endorse the advice as it's difficult to clean inside the oven without at least some of the fluid getting on your arms (that's how I know it burns!) but come on manufacturer, charge a little more and provide the gloves that should be part of your "complete kit!. Overall, a good product that works but for it to be called complete, I would want to see proper gloves, an oven scraper and cleaning sponge included.

Admittedly neglected and forgot about my oven for about a year after hardly ever using it anymore, all of the pans, racks, glass and inside were bogging. You couldn’t see through the glass with the baked on grease. I put 2 racks AND the slide in grill pan in the bag provided with half the solution. I placed it on the floor and swished it around carefully instead of turning it to prevent any accidents. The other half of the solution went on the glass and inside the oven. The grease off the glass was coming off as soon as I was distributing the liquid with the cloth. Right before my eyes!!! I only left that on for a few hours before it came up absolutely sparkling clean. Like NEW! The inside I left overnight and it did a pretty good job but still some marks there. I did not want to vigorously scrub so they may have come off if I did. But I was happy to have it cleaner than it was before. I left the racks in the bag flat with the sealed end folded overnight. No leaks or spills in the morning. Took them out the bag and the dirty just washed away under the tap. I am not a scrub-kinda-girlie so I was extremely pleased with how the dirt just washed off. Sparkling clean just like the glass. Awesome! Some pointers though, it will get messy. I didn’t care but be prepared to wipe and wash away the solution when it becomes grimy and stodgy. It will drip. Clean the kitchen after doing this not before. Have rubber gloves that go all the way up the arms if possible. I got a touch of the solution on my forearm and didn’t notice until I felt burning and saw a rash. My fault, I will be more careful next time. Overall astonishing stuff. Will definitely be purchasing again!

Works really well. Trays go into a plastic bag with most of the liquid, I leave some out to clean the inside of the oven. Tip/turn it for a few hours, rinse, done.

This is a million miles better than Mr Sheen's oven cleaner. It cleaned off super stubborn stains, so I now have a clean oven. It's really strong, easy to use and in safe packaging that won't leak

Great for oven cleaning

The kit comes with everything you need to tackle that greasy oven mess: a bottle of cleaning solution, a bag, and a pair of gloves. The cleaning solution is like a superhero when it comes to removing stubborn grease and grime. I was amazed at how well it worked. No more scrubbing for hours or scraping away at baked-on gunk. Just apply the solution, let it do its thing, and wipe away the mess with ease. The bag that comes with the kit is a genius addition. You simply pop your oven racks and trays inside, pour in some of the cleaning solution, seal it up, and let it soak. It's like giving them a spa treatment! This little trick saves you from the mess and hassle of trying to clean those items separately. Just rinse them off afterward, and they look good as new. Using the Oven Pride Complete Kit was pretty straightforward. The instructions were easy to follow, which is a relief because I'm not exactly a cleaning expert. Plus, they even included a pair of gloves, so I didn't have to worry about getting my hands all dirty and smelly. I do have one small gripe, though. The cleaning solution does have a strong smell, which can be a bit overwhelming. I made sure to open some windows and get some fresh air circulating while using it. So, keep that in mind if you're sensitive to strong odors.
