Happy Feet!
I just bought my first bike a month and a half ago. I tried all kinds of different boots or tennis shoes and my feet were getting sore and tired. My husband is an experienced rider and he wears the alpinestar s-mx5 boots (but I didnt want a tall boot). I ride almost every day and wanted an easy on/off comfortable boot.I am right between an 8.5 to 9 womens (somewhat wide), so I went with the size 41.They are the perfect size for me!I waited to write the review until I rode in them as well...After a two hour country ride my feet were still happy! These boots are awesome, I think my husband is going to get a pair now as well.

Sizing seems accurate. Comfortable and protects foot/ankle well.
I'm typically a size 12, ordered these in that size, and they fit very well. Construction quality seems to be consistent with the price/brand. They have good protection in the areas I want it, and are still breathable enough that a ride on a 90-degree day in Houston isn't uncomfortable.Once you get off the bike, I won't say they are as comfortable as a good pair of running shoes, but almost as comfortable as a pair of expensive and broken-in hiking boots.Putting on and taking off is simple, a zipper on the inside-facing side of the boot with a velcro panel that closes over the top. Easy enough even with riding gloves on.They have a replaceable guard on the outside of the forward part of the boot for those who are comfortable leaning a bike that far over.An adjustable strap on the front of the boot just forward of the ankle allows for some adjustment in width/fit.I would not want to do a 5K wearing them, but they're comfortable enough that I don't really notice I'm wearing them just walking around a bit.If you're currently wearing any shoes that have laces on them, get these - or something similar - to avoid the potentially very dangerous hazard of a shoelace getting pulled into the chain, or just hung up on something when you try to put your feet on the pavement.

Great set of boots
This pair of boots got me through an accident on the street and an accident in the back yard on a dirtbike. Foot was fine from the street accident, but the dirt bike accident I hit a sharp metal scrap in the yard which split the big toe area of the boot. Bruised my toe pretty bad but that would have happened with any boot based on how I hit the object. Highly recommend this pair of boots. Very comfortable too.

Awesome motorcycle boots high tops
In the first picture you can see they have a shift guard (right side of picture)protects your shoes from getting ruined (by the shifter) and has grips on to ensure your foot doesn't slide out when shifting. On the left side is your toe guard incase your dropping a knee on turns and your foot scraped the road along with your toes that'll protect yours toes hence toe guard.Made from very strong fabric ( better be made with strong fabric paying 160 for them)velcro straps as you can see in the 2nd and 3rd pictures. High tops were they cover your ankles in a event of a crash, heels are protected with very hard and thick plastic material.the bottom of the shoes have a slight bump I guess you would say where your foot won't slide out from the foot peg.Just got these shoes today took em out for a spin and tbh I love them dropped a knee on a turn and scraped the road with the shoe and felt the scrape but protected my toes so I'd recommend these shoes to anyone that are serious about safety an style and even ppl that are squids

Looks fantastic
A little hard to put on. It's going to take me awhile to get used to but other than that I believe the shoes are probably good. I wear a US size 9 or 9.5 so I order the size 43 and still have a little room in them. Now I'll just wait till the spring to see how they hold up they're not the most comfortable boot I ever worn but I guess you're paying for protection. I should say the zipper seem like it my break after a while but not sure. This is my first ever pair of motorcycle shoe / boots

Broken zipper! Defective?
I live in Colorado and bought these in December 2020. It is now the beginning of May and I cant zip the boot up as the stitching for the zipper has come apart. Now it being Colorado and winter time these have barely been used. Amazon is going to refund me on the boots which is great, but I have to pay the $8 return shipping. I purchased for $143, and if I were to repurchase they are $160. So I am losing $24 for a defective boot that have have maybe worn 4 times. The boot itself is somewhat comfortable and you are getting protection. But these boots should be able to get alot more use out of them before they start breaking apart.Edit 6/24/2021I went ahead and bought another pair of the same boot, delivered May 7th, by June 16th the stitching for the zipper has come apart again and I cant zip up the boot. Going with a boot with laces and that can last.

Alpinestars boots never disappoint.
Alpinestars' quality seems to be declining across many of its offerings. I've been severely disappointed with the last two pair of their gloves I've used as well as the last jacket. I've never been anything but pleased with their boots though, and these continue that trend.Comfortable right outta the box, stylish, and most important of all, protective. All one can ask for in a motorcycle boot. The perforation venting doesn't make a HUGE difference, but it is noticeable.

Nearly Perfect ... Nearly
I cannot recommend these boots enough! Good protection and super comfortable ... better than any of the other moto-boots I've worn, including SIDI and TCX; and I didn't think anybody could beat TCX. I've walked many city blocks in these; and never once did the thought "I'm wearing moto-boots" pop into my head. A few people thought they were new Jordans. My only complaint is that the strap that covers the dorsum (top) of the foot doesn't tighten more snuggly than it does. To be clear: It doesn't feel like the boot is going to fall off; but it does feel like it needs to be tighter. It is the only reason I didn't give the boot 5 stars. I've heard the SMX-1 V2 version hasn't improved that feature. That's okay, I like the look of the SMX-1 better anyway.
