Good product
These are my favorite writing pens for journaling and I love that I have different colors to choose from for different days. Pilot has long been a favorite brand of pens. I find that they are always quality writing pens.. The pens aren't heavy; the ink doesn't smudge and flows evenly.

The perfect pen
I've tried a ton of different pens with different line thicknesses and ink types, but this is by far my most favorite pen. I've been using these for four years in college now, and I would be extremely hard pressed to give them up. I write small and I sometimes have a hard time deciphering what I've written if the line thickness is too high. I also don't like pens or pencils that leave a light mark when used. These, because they're liquid ink, leave marks that are of standard heaviness and darkness. In general, unless the paper is super cheap, you don't have to worry about bleeding through unless you've accidentally left the tip of the pen against the paper for a few moments. I use general lined notebooks, write on both sides of the page, and don't have problems with bleedthrough. I especially like the color pack because they offer a variety of shades that aren't too crazy. I color-code my notes because it helps me remember things better, so it's nice to have different colors at my disposal. I also do a lot of grading, so I always need a red pen. I hand-write notes for all of my classes, write notes for my tutoring students, and often hand-write small assignments or drafts. In general, a pack will get me through just about a school year. However, with the addition of the tons of writing I was doing for tutoring, I managed only to get through this past semester before having to buy another pack. Still, when I consider how often they were used, it's not a bother. Are there other pens out there that are better? Maybe. It's hard to imagine getting jazzed up about a pen, but when you consider availability (Amazon Prime), price point, and attributes of the pen, I really think that this is the highest value proposition of virtually any other pen you can find in the office supply market. I've tried a ton of gel, ink, and ballpoint pens and have always returned to these. No other pen comes close.

The Best Pens Ever - Now In Color!
I conducted a Great Pen Review a few months ago, in which I purchased a 12-pack of the following 0.5mm pens and distributed them to friends and family for evaluation: Pilot Precise V5 Stick Rolling Ball Pen, Micro Point, 0.5 mm, Black Barrel/Ink (35334), 12-Count Pentel EnerGel Liquid Gel Pen, Fine Needle Tip, Blue Barrel, Black Ink, Box of 12 (BLN15-A) Pilot G2 Retractable Gel Ink Roller Ball Pen, Extra Fine Point, Clear Barrel, Black Ink, 12-Count (31002) uni-ball 207 Retractable Micro Point Gel Pens, 12 Black Ink Pens(61255) Sharpie Pen Fine Point Pen, 12 Black Pens (1742663) The overall favorites were definitely the V5 and the EnerGel. The EnerGel was generally preferred by those who liked a higher ink flowrate, while the V5 was preferred by those who liked a lower flowrate. First impressions of the Uniball 207 were quite good, but occasionally these pens drew the ire of my reviewers when they stopped writing seemingly randomly with large volumes of ink still remaining. The Sharpie pen, while better than expected, feels like a marker (because it is) and doesn't have wide appeal. The Pilot G2 was scratchy and terrible all-around; this appears to be a problem with the 0.5mm tip size, as I have heard great things about the G2 0.7mm. My favorite by far was the Precise V5. I do a lot of editing on printed documents, so I immediately began looking for colored V5's and came across this product. The colors are bold and haven't lost any of their brightness a month after writing. The purple and green especially are rather unusual and have excellent contrast with black, and I have really enjoyed editing with them. In short, these colored pens are just as good as the black ones. Believe the positive reviews! You will not be disappointed, but buy extras - people love to steal these things.

Fast Drying Ink that Unfortunately Bleeds through
Personally, I love these .5mm pens and all of their assorted colors. They make my penmanship look incredible. I'm a firm believer that a pen can affect your handwriting tremendously. Whenever I use the Pilot V5 pens, I without fail get complimented on my handwriting. PROS: 1) Thin tip - makes it easier to write smaller and get into small spaces. 2) Long life span - I use these every single day to take notes for class or meeting minutes for work and these still last me for 6+ months easily... closer to a year. 3) The ink dries fast so it does not smear or gets on your hand. 4) Feel good in your hand - the size is perfect, not too big or small. CONS: 1) Bleeds through - this is the biggest draw back. However, it's to be expected with these kinds of pens. 2) They will burst on an airplane without fail. 3) As the ink runs low the smoothness of the ink flow becomes much worse. Overall: I would definitely recommend these pens. They're my go to pens for a reasonable price. I'm still looking for the perfect pen - one that preferably doesn't bleed through, so it might take a little more searching. I do like that it's extra fine and a thin tip because I don't like large print. However, if you like your writing to be large, this is not the pen for you.

One of our favorite pen styles, great assortment of colors.
These are some of our favorite pens. We love the extra fine tip that lets you write smoothly and precisely every time. They are very reliable, so we don't have to worry about them blocking up and not writing. This particular pack of 7 assorted colors is a great combo of the essential colors and a few bonus fun ones. The whole pen is the color of the ink, so there's no guessing which color you are grabbing. You can see how much ink is left in them, which is also a great feature. They are fairly comfortable to hold while writing (not the best or the worst). The clips on the caps are rather cheap, but we don't tend to use those much so it isn't an issue for us. NOTE: Some people complain about these exploding on them. We have never had this happen, even when frequently/constantly being carried in a pocket. We have found them to be very durable, so I suspect those people simply had a bad batch or were overly rough on them. I personally would not consider it a concern.

Best Pens Ever! Like this multi-color pack
I have used Pilot V5 and V7 pens for at least 15 years since my university days. And, now I purchase these by the box for my work. This multi-color pack is great and writing greeting cards etc. These pens are very good for precise and beautiful handwriting. I love the consistent and even ink flow and handwriting is simply beautiful. Lately I have started liking V7 more than V5. Now Pilot have come out with many different pens, but this classic still remains my favorite. The point is very smooth out of box and totally smudge-proof. It requires no pressure and writing is very smooth and natural. These pens flow very smoothly and are comfortable to hold. The design is classic and has not changed for years. I know many people like me who have been using these classics for years. Many people at work started buying these pens as they see print like writing I produce from these pens. The only warning I have is that once you try this pen you may not like any other pen! Amazon price is usually better than local stores.

Writes without smudges or bleeding; Fits in Cricut Explore machines
Super nice pens that write without skipping or smudging. I bought these to use in my Cricut Explore Air 2, and they fit perfectly. They write smoothly and give me wonderful results. They do not bleed or feather on any of the papers I've tried (regular lined paper, scrapbook paper, and several brands of cardstock). I will most definitely be purchasing more of these.
