Update: wiring issue with controller but excellent customer service
Updated Information: After writing the original review below (which was a three-star review) I was promptly contacted by ACOPOWER customer service and offered a replacement product as an apology for the quality issues with the non-factory wiring job with the controller. I accept ACOPOWER's explanation that the unit I received had some modifications performed in their LA office and not in their main China factory. It should not be difficult for them to improve the quality of the wire connections to the controller if done in a factory with the right tools and supplies. It should be a simple issue. As I note below, I really do like all other aspects of this solar panel, and I like the LCD controller. I have changed my review to 5-stars due to the excellent customer service and an obvious commitment by the company to maintain a quality reputation. I have not updated the photos. I may add new photos in the future the next time I use the panels. Original Review: If you cannot repair wire splices or crimp connectors at the end of wires, and properly insulate them, then you may very well be returning this unit due to faulty wiring at the controller. Other than the wiring, I really like this unit, particularly the LCD controller. The frame is very solid. I liked the use of the Anderson connection at the end of the cable for the battery (also comes with an Anderson x aligator clips adapter). The case is nice (keep the box for extra storage protection). I like the controller, which allows you can toggle the display to show the output Amps, Amp-hours, and battery voltage. This is key to troubleshoot and evaluate performance. Although, I have not seen more than 80 Watts output and I used it in full sun in mid day. Hopefully it can ultimately go higher. Other than my experience with the terrible wiring end connections, I recommend this unit. I recommend to purchase the Go Power 7-pin x Anderson adapter to allow you to connect to solar panel to the battery through the main electrical pig-tail of the RV--more convenient than opening the battery boxes. Also, I recommend the Go Power Anderson x Anderson 10 gauge extension cable. These two items are excellent quality. Upon receiving the ACOPOWER foldable 100W solar panel with 20A LCD controller, I set it up and hooked it to my RV to test in my driveway at home, in June. After operating for 24 hours I noticed the red and black wires connected at the controller, (leading towards battery), were simply falling out of the crimped terminal connector and the black electrical tape loosely wrapped around these crimped connections was melting and smoking. It was hot out, 95 degrees F, but this was not the cause of the problem. Crimped connections don't fail due to heat, unless they are held in only with electrical tape rather than properly crimped. They may have tried to crimp a connector one size too large? Because I found all other aspects of the solar panel to be quite good, I decided to fix the wiring myself and avoid the hassle of a return. I cleaned up the wire ends, removed the electrical tape, crimped on quality connectors, and completed the job with some solid heat shrink tubes. Wire ends better than new. I have attached some photos of the best two wire ends that did NOT fail, before and after I removed the electrical tape (heat shrink tubing would normally be used in a factory installation to insulate and protect from strain, not electrical tape). I cut the ends off of these wires and started over with new fork connections.

Good solar suitcase
Came on time and in good condition, hooked up to a battery to test and seems to be working fine. Just waiting to try on the RV. Update, tried it out today and everything works great. I purchased the Furion adapter for my RV and everything was plug and play. Instructions could be a little better in telling you how to hook up cables but just remember to connect from controller to panel. I posted video on what it should look like when connected correctly. Overall seems really well made and the adjustable legs seem sturdy. Looking forward to seeing how well it keeps the batteries charged when boondocking.

Great quality and customer service
I had been studying and searching for a portable solar panel for my solar ready travel trailer for months now. Because of the reviews I finally went with the Acopower. I was not disappointed! Great quality and performance. The instructions were a little hard to figure out, I think I was making it more complicated then it was. If I have any complaints about this product it would be a little heavier then I imagined but I weigh less than 100 pounds. I'm completely happy with this solar panel and would recommend it to anyone! Great customer service also. I called to figure out what kind of adapter I needed to connect to my solar ready trailer. Once they saw I had already placed my order they sent me the proper cable free of charge! Blown away!

Now I want sun EVERYDAY
I have been wanting a solar panel set for a long time now and finally made the jump. I have been researching for a long time and had a list of features I wanted and needed. I wanted 100W with the possibility to expand with more power in the future. It had to have a battery charger/controller that was versatile and would handle a wide array of batteries. The panels had to be lightweight, compact, easy to transport and set up. They also had to be as complete as possible so I wouldn't have to buy more components to use them. The ACOPower ProteusX fills all of those needs and more. These are VERY efficient and work even in low light conditions. I couldn't wait to try them out and set them up in front of our biggest window that also gets the most sunlight. I then hooked up my portable power station to them and watched it go to work. Everything I needed was included. The power station immediately recognized the solar panels and started charging. The panels were not even outside. I can connect just about any battery to the built in charger and use the sunlight to charge them. We have an RV and this is where they will really get the most use. You have to travel light when in an RV. These are light, and can be easily stored. They have a rugged protective case that keeps them safe until use. I simply plug them into the solar power plug on my RV and I can now go off grid and have power. These solar panels along with my power station give me freedom to get out and go places with my RV that I couldn't go to before. And now for an extended time. I have found the panels I long wanted and I am happy with them. They work great and will provide me with the power needed without any worries. They get and deserve 5 stars. They are also one of the best values in solar panels I found.

Some of the instructions are a bit difficult to follow
I've only just received the product so I haven't had a chance to test it "in the field", but it appears to be of good quality and has passed the tests that I've put it through. My only complaint is with the instructions that came with the unit. Overall they're decipherable, but parts of them (e.g., "Step 2: Disconnect MC4 Connectors and let it to be a solar panel with MC4 connectors") are downright baffling.

Plug and play!!
Wow!! I am the recipient of a "powereco" 100w solar. I also received an "upgrade" at no additional cost. Changes were mostly cosmetic. I.E new protective case. All I did was read the instructions, remove from packaging and viola!! I have solar charging for my RV battery. Bright sunshine bringing a free charge to my home away from home. So far, I'd highly recommend!!

An Excellent RV Solar Panel!
Wonderful product; performed flawlessly right out of the box! My wife and I will be "dry-camping" with the RV next week and this will be ideal to keep out batteries topped off while off-grid. I really like the solid construction, sturdy folding legs, carrying handle, and storage case.

Excellent Customer Service
This is a pre-lim review as I have not set up the unit. More reviews will follow. Those who desire to travel with a solar set-up may be interested in my reviews. As a former mariner I chose Acopower due to the possibility it will hold up under harsh wet conditions and can take a pounding stored in a vehicle (f350 cutaway) while underway OTR. The panels arrived very quickly. For those who understand the limitations posed by living in a very rural area, they use UPS. As you know other companies seem unable to deliver anywhere but in a city. All my queries were answered within 24hrs. I intend to use this unit to charge a third battery (back-up) and a power station- Jackery Explorer 1000W. The suitcase is marvelous. Two bits of advice may be handy- Get the extension. Unless your battery is at ground level (or you are willing to haul one around) you will need the extension. The line with the battery clips is 18" (not including the clamps). The extension will provide more opportunity to access good sun and alleviate having to haul heavy power stations or batteries. The connector to use on a power station ie Jackery/Goal Zero etc., does not come with the order. It needs to be purchased separately. This is all I have to offer atm. Once I set it up I will come back here with some pics.
