Can I use on the anus area on dog?

I tried spraying it on my dog but, he got a fright when the spray hit his butt.and wouldn’t let me near him. So I put gloves on and rubbed Aveeno cream on and he got a lot of relief after a few days using that, so I couldn’t confirm for definite if it actually works, I suppose it depends on the problem he has, hope this helps a bit.
