Good Throw, Great Comfort
Soft, thick, and actually waterproof. We use this to keep our cabin furniture clean and cozy, and it does a great job with dog hair. Washes well and holds up great. Would definitely buy again.

Soft, waterproof, and durable w/o being too thick or heavy.
In April '23 we got a new 105" couch which is used daily by me, my wife, and our two 75lb dogs -- multiple times the humans will sit down on the couch; likewise throughout the day the dogs leap up, take a nap, and leap down. From Day 1 (over three months now), we've covered the couch with two of these Large blankets that overlap each other in the center. These things have been fantastic and flawless! First, they are super soft. Second, so far they have proven to be durable....despite the nails of 75 lb dogs leaping up and down on them every day, we have not noticed any damage. They are indeed waterproof: before putting them on the couch the first time, we tested them in the garage and not a drop of water seeped through; and in three months of dogs licking their legs/paws on the couch during which the tops of the blankets have gotten quite wet no wetness or smell ever penetrated through to the couch. There is only one downside to them, and that is the washing and drying. Although the blankets are quite light when they are dry, they really absorb the water in the washer. So, during the spin cycle our washer starts to get out of balance (you know, when it shakes violently back and forth), and so we need to stop the washer/ manually situate the now heavy blankets in the washer so that the weight is evenly distributed, and then manually restart the spin cycle (if we were only washing one Large blanket at a time, maybe this wouldn't be the case, but both times we've washed them we did both blankets at once). And then, even after the first spin cycle is done....one needs to manually start another spin cycle in order to get more water to come out of these very absorbent blankets (a third time, might even be a good idea). After two times in the spin cycle, I then need to run them on the low dryer cycle (per the label on the blanket)....and on low it takes 2 hours just to get them down to a moderately damp level. And then after 2 hours on low, I still then need to put them on a drying rack in the garage overnight in order for them to completely dry out. It is a small price to pay for such a nice blanket that both humans and dogs can use. Side note: on our old couch, our dogs liked to walk in circles and paw at the couch before lying down (I think this is called 'nesting'), but since we got the new couch that are covered with these blankets, they have not once done that.

Wish I had found this a long time ago.
Soft, easy to clean, nice that is has two sides one for warm weather and one for cool weather. I bought two, one for the couch, and one for the bed. Protects my stuff and my doggie loves them! Not sure about the water resistant part yet, we haven't had any coffee spills or other accidents. They was and dry well. 02/16/2021 update. My dog or I managed to spill my giant iced tea (which was by the blanket) on the blanket, and it had to be there for at least forty five minutes before noticed. The cushions under the blanket were completely dry. And I've washed these blankets a lot as my dog sheds quite a bit. These blankets are worth their weight in gold for the time and money spent!!!! 07/02/2022 update. My medium/large 63 lbs. insanely strong dog will dig on these blankets like she is breaking out of a high security prison when she is feeling goofy. Nothing shows on my nice sofa below. I wash these all the time and they are still waterproof. My only complaint about these blankets is that they do take forever to dry in your dryer. I never use fabric softener I instead use 1/4 cup of white distilled vinegar in the rinse cycle. This will soften and helps remove and lingering odors. Google it! I set the dryer to medium heat with the moisture indicator very dry and make sure to check the lint trap multiple times through out the drying cycle as the blanket is so big (which I like) my washer struggle to remove all the copious amount of hair my dog sheds. But a clean lint trap will shorten the drying time. Even with doing that expect your dryer to be held hostage if you have the really large blankets like I so for quite some time. I have given these blanket to friends with dogs who swear they are a life savers to their furniture or vehicles too. Recommendations to PetAmi: 1) Please make actual sofa covers with straps! 2) Please make car seat protectors with the same soft material, my current backseat hammock thing work well, but it is clear she hates laying down or sitting on it as it isn't as soft as these amazing blankets.

The pup looks beautiful lying on this soft and beautiful blanket. Not too big or too small

Consistency….?
Ok. First off, I love these blankets. I now own EIGHT of them. If THAT doesn’t show my love I don’t know what would. My ONLY issue is the consistency. I have two brown ones that I put on my couch they fit perfectly. They look nice. They’re super soft. They are waterproof. They’re easy to wash and dry and they remain waterproof. I ordered two “beige” ones. They are two different colors. I prefer the way the brown looks, but I decided that the beige ones are easier to see if my elderly dog had an accident. I went online and I ordered two more beige ones. I was thinking the two new ones would be the same color and the two mismatched ones were just a fluke. Wouldn’t you know it? I received another mismatched ones!! One is more of a creamy color and the other has a green undertone. They’re in the dryer right now, but I’m hoping that I now have two matching sets of these beige ones and I don’t have four entirely different colors! I just find it very strange that you can order an item click two for the quantity and two different color blankets?? But as I mentioned, I love them. They work well, they look nice, super soft and comfortable they are waterproof. I would absolutely recommend them. I just don’t like that. You can order two and have them be different colors.

Thick and cozy
This blanket is very thick and plush, great size...the sherpa fleece feels soft and warm, and I love that it’s reversible. It's a bit heavy for my pup, who likes to drag it around.

Finally - A Truly Waterproof Dog Product
Dog blanket goals: 1. truly waterproof 2. attractive enough to use on the couch without giving our living room a kennel vibe 3. able to stand up to a washing machine and two puppies (since they're made for dogs) 4. a price point that isn't completely ridiculous (Willing to pay a bit more than throw blanket prices for the waterproofing and quality, but I'm not paying a fur-baby premium. They're not spun by fairies from unicorn tears, and our dogs seem to ignore or destroy things in direct proportion to how expensive they are.) Too much to ask? You wouldn't think so; but we've spent literally hundreds of dollars on Amazon in the last two months, and kept the UPS return drop off folks very busy. I don't even click through on anything that doesn't say 'free returns' anymore. Then we found this. Out of the box, it passes the appearance test. The colors are great (we got black/white), and it's REALLY soft on both sides. Material and stitching are high quality. (I checked all the way around and pulled at the seams. It's strong and even, no fraying threads or bad stitches.) One side is microfiber with a rich velour look, the other is a nice sherpa, and the waterproof layer isn't stiff or crackly. It works across the back of our couch or folded in a basket in the corner - could easily be a throw blanket for humans, and we've used it for that a time or two already. Even the packaging comes with a nice ribbon. If it weren't for the puppy paw corner logo and label, I'd gift these for baby showers... and they'll definitely work for protecting furniture from babies and toddlers. But I really paid for the waterproofing because it doesn't matter if the blanket looks great on a stained couch. I tested it before turning it over to the dogs by pouring a half cup of water directly onto it. Bingo - beads up a little bit on the sherpa side, but soaks in quickly (which is good)... and NOT THROUGH to the other side. Not even a drop. That's a lot of liquid to trap in the thin layer of waterproofing material at the core. Of course, the real test was up to the puppies, and they were happy to join the research team. Peed a river on it about a week after purchase as it sat on the wood floor. Once again - not a drop got through the barrier. Into the washing machine it went, according to manufacturer directions. I dried it on 'low' and it looked brand new so I repeated the water test. Still no leakage. WE HAVE A WINNER. I immediately ordered a second one (and repeated all the same tests with the same results because I'm really protective of my expensive furniture.) I'm also thinking of getting a color coordinated one for the non-machine washable chair in my daughter's room because she likes to drink cocoa and make messes (and the pups like to sneak in there). Having purchased a number of these at many price points, it's definitely worth the $24.95 for looks, function, and durability. Coupla things - It's not super thick. That works well for us because I wanted a year round weight and it doesn't take forever to dry. It's withstood two puppies who like to nest and dig, and it's soft enough that it still feels luxurious; but it's a light throw, not a quilt. I've had enough experience with waterproof human bedding over the years to know that these waterproof layers eventually degrade, and the high heat dryer settings aren't your friend. Follow manufacturer directions and don't expect it to be an heirloom piece. It will take care of your furniture the same way you take care of it. And do your own water test before you risk your furniture. Anything can happen with mass manufacturing. The Land Of Amazon is definitely famous for false advertising re: sizes of dog (and human) blankets and the dumb photos never help. We got the 50x40 (small) and I can tell you that the dimensions of THIS blanket are correct. (If you don't check the sizes and/or compare them to another blanket, your bed, or measure it out on the floor, that's on you. The 50x40 is about half the size of a queen mattress.)

comfortable and durable
I cannot understand the bad reviews on this blanket!! It is amazing!! That being said, my dogs are not incontinent and I was not focused on the waterproof factor when I decided to purchase 2 of them. I simply wanted thicker, cuddly, clean, attractive, versatile blankets with winter coming. I was so impressed when I unwrapped them! The plaid side is such soft velour, and the "sheepskin fleece" side is sooo soft. I am literally a little jealous, as my sofa throws are not this cozy. I have only washed them once, and they seem to not pill or "flatten" like some sheepskin fleece fabric. I read a LOT of reviews and looked through a lot of listings before settling on these, and I couldn't be happier. I would even say they are the best dog blankets I have ever purchased. The "waterproof factor" does seem to help spills not soak in, and easily clean up. There is a slight weight to the blanket, which makes it feel like better quality. The edges are wrapped with fleece which gives them a classy finish. Don't know how it would perform with a dog that fully urinates on it, you may have to sacrifice style and coziness for a more waterproof option. Otherwise, don't hesitate, these rock.
