Balboa 10-175-3005 Circuit Board, VS501Z, 54357-03

It appears to be a Balboa part and worked perfectly. You need to use the old card to see how to run jumpers so hold on to it in original setup settings.

Circuit board was fine. Getting it was not

easy replacement took half hour to swap out however i can't get it to run correctly,heats up but shuts off due to low flow i already swapped out sensors,heater and motors still acts the same as my old board could be a program issue but i need to take a break for awhile

I was very disappointed they don't give you any paper work or wiring diagrams, the board was wired for 120 volts I had to read the schematic on the inside of the cover, luckily I've been in the HVAC business for over 30 Years and have a lot of experience with wiring. The spa is running the board and topside control that I thought was bad was still good the technicians that worked on it originally wired it wrong so now I have two extra controls

It arrives with multiple jumper wires already attached to board. This is not the appropriate configuration. Mirror the existing jumper pattern of your previous board!

It took me quite awhile to figure out what circuit board should work for my almost 20 year old cal spa hot tub. See balboa circuit board numbers are not the same, from 2005 and p/n number is same except for last bit. Once I decided this board most likely should work, there were no instructions hinting at All that the wiring on the board would also have to be changed, besides matching up the wires and plugs I disconnected to remove the old board. When I turned on the breaker the fuse box 50 amp breaker would flip immediately. I figured I probably blew the circuit board and what not. I saw that the wiring on the board was different from the old board but figured they changed things around. Anyway I changed the white jumper wires on the new board to match the old board and everything works perfectly. ** either they didn’t wire the jumpers right or more likely this board is intended to be used with multiple wiring solutions. Would have been nice, for them just to mention that so someone could account and plan for that.

You’ll have to completely re-wire the board to get it to work. Following poor direction I received after inquiring it blew both breakers, the one at the hot tub and the one in the main breaker box. I re-wired it to match the original and was able to get it to at least function, but not exactly as it should
