Very pleased with this harness which was bought to replace a previous well known brand harness which was causing an issue on my dog's shoulder and resulted in her having to have some private treatment to alleviate the tension and pain caused by the previous harness. I did a lot of research and this one came recommended by various breeders too. This harness allows my dog easy movement, fits her comfortably, and she can move freely, in fact I tend to leave it on her when she is off lead, this is a first as her previous ones I always removed as I wanted her to have full movement, whilst running around through the fields off lead. I tend to use a double ended lead as I have a large dog, and this means I have more control should a squirrel decide to do a suicide mission in front of her, I clip one end of the lead onto her collar the other on the plastic clip at the front of the harness. Personally, I do feel that the makers could look at replacing the plastic clip for a metal one, this would give more reassurance to us owners with large dogs like myself, hopefully, fingers crossed this plastic clip will remain intact!. There is a metal clip on the top, near the dogs shoulders which you can use, but this is something I personally find awkward and my dog is used to having her lead clipped at the front. Good range of colours, I have chosen orange, it complements my dog perfectly, and also washes nicely with no need to tumble dryer, also there are a couple of reflectors on the harness so if out walking in the dark I can see her, that said, I have ordered a reflective collar for the winter months just to be sure.In short a great harness but you must ensure that you measure your dog correctly to get the right fit..

I initially ordered XS as my little sheltie measures 53cm around his widest part of ribcage (he is really small) and I thought that would fit well. Sadly we had to return it as it was too small.Now we have a size S and it's not on its smallest setting but rather more towards the 69cm max range.It's such a lovely harness -he moves well in it and I like both how it fits him and how lightweight it is now summer is finally here.I really recommend this harness but beware of its sizing, it may be worth sizing up if not sure.

I must have bought 3 different harnesses before biting the bullet and getting this one. I originally thought it was too expensive but after trying 3 cheaper ones and all failing to fit propperly I bought the ruff wear light harness and realised I should have bought it sooner. The fit is perfect, a narrow chest to suite taller, slimmer dogs so it doesn’t chaf the legs, but also being so secure. It’s very durable, buster wears this for every walk and run and there’s very little wear and tear to it. It’s been made with durability in mind. The next harness I need I won’t bother looking elsewhere and will reorder ruff wear harness’s time and time again.

it has good and bad in it.Good - bright colour, belt that around chest does not rub into armpits, very light and easy to put on and off. Very good and bright visibility line around the harness.Bad - if your dog pulls on the lead it is not good harness for it, it starts to rotate around dogs chest and neck. Straps are very hard, left a mark on my god skin (harness was fit well, with 2 fingers gap)

I bought the XXXS thinking that it would fit because the girth measurement was fine but my dog is too small in the shoulder/neck and body length for the harness, so I would check the neck and length measurements of the harness to make sure it will fit. Not a huge issue because my dog is still a tiny pup so will (hopefully!) Grow into it as it's only a few cm too big.Overall the harness is great, as well made as the other ruffwear ranges of harness, looks and feels good,doesn't appear to have any weak points yet. Whilst there is no padding it feels as good quality as the other rangers and is made out of the same cover material, all the clips and lead attachment are similar to the others (I have a couple of webmaster and a front range too for my other dog). After some minor adjustments and putting it on over a jumoer, it fit my dog fine,moulded really well to his shape and hasn't rubbed in any places. Can recommend it if you need to find a decent harness that's light for your dog and isnt too bulky but still secure!

I have a 13 week old Eurasier and was not keen on the first harness I bought as I felt it constricted her chest , so decided to try a Ruffwear.What I like is how adjustable it is.. the neck, the girth straps, so it can really be adjusted to fit properly, and importantly she has room to grow rapidly and it will fit her for a while . I bought the size she JUST fitted into (ie on the large size) as she was borderline between two sizes, and I'm glad I did as it does come up snug when all the straps are at their tightest, but this is probably breed dependent and mine's basically a fuzzy bear :)It is easy to put on ..pop over the head and buckle up the sides and it doesn't restrict her in any way. Time will tell how robust it is, but she was happy to wear it straight away.

Have been looking at a harness that fits my Sprocker comfortably, safely and easily. This harness does this.He will swim and splash in any puddle, pond or stretch of water. He tears around on trails and through bracken. He avidly follows us mountain biking on all rough and dirty trails.I have found that previous harnesses have caused rubbing, leading to a sore near the shoulder. Some have been cumbersom which is not great due to his love of water. Some he was able to get his front paws out of while swimming due to their poor fit.The ruffwear harness on its first weekend outing was very easy to fit and adjust. It fitted well and was very resilient to mud and dirt picked up as he jumped in every puddle and muddy pond.After an afternoon of charging round, the harness did not rub and stayed securely put.I rinsed the harness at home and left it to dry on the radiator. Pleased to say it dried very quickly and looked as new.I have now bought another one for our black lab. Really pleased with them so far.

Love this sturdy dog harness! It is comfortable on my dog, great price and easy to get a perfect fit too!

Got a small/x small for my wife's Coton. Not a large dog so not the stress a large dog would put on the harness. Slips over the head and buckles around the waist on the back. Buckles are hard plastic like those on backpacks. Metal clip on the top for a leash attachment that won't choke the dog (pros and cons). Only concern is the harness is not double stitched. Snap it on and off we go!

I'm glad I read the reviews on sizing before ordering. Based on my dog's measurements I should have ordered a size smaller than I did, but the one I ordered was perfect. This is a great addition to the corresponding bungee leash for running and hiking.
